WHERE & WHEN: 2013 American Music Awards on November 24, 2013.
WEARING: Head-to-toe Versace.
MY VERDICT: As I’ve said before, one can never predict what Lady Gaga will wear. It was fun to pick some choices for her on my wish list albeit none of them came true, I still liked the custom made black technical satin gown by Prabal Gurung that the “Applause” singer donned for her trip down the red carpet for the MTV Video Music Awards.
This was a far stretch from her infamous meat dress once upon a time, but the singer still got the interwebs a-buzzing with her ‘shockingly normal’ floor length gown with a large bow at the waist and a shimmering polka-dot train.
I thought the dress worked for her, but I wish Mother Monster had donned the blonde curly wig she changed into during the show over those Morticia-esque long black locks.
The few ladies that are included on my wish list have either already been confirmed—or I saw them included in the annual picture of the seating chart first look. What I love about the show is that you never really know what to expect someone to wear. Anything can happen at the VMAs—I mean, let’s remember that this is the same show where Lady Gaga donned her infamous meat dress. Seriously, anything can happen.

MY VERDICT: The day isn’t even done and we already have yet another fierce full Balmain look from Lady Gaga! The 27-year-old singer continued her press tour grind to promote her new single “Applause” and selected her second three piece ensemble by designer Olivier Rousteing.
This time around, Gaga opted for the fuzzy black high neck long sleeve top with a strong shoulder and the black-and-gold metallic belt from the Fall 2013 collection that she partnered with white cuffed Resort 2014 trousers. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Mother Monster was back in Balenciaga today for an interview with Elvis Duran on the Z100 morning show in New York City. The 27-year-old singer promoted her new single “Applause” and upcoming album ARTPOP while donned in a black draped cocktail dress, from the Resort 2014 collection designed by new Creative Director Alexander Wang, that features a dramatic low plunging open back. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: My favorite purple Balmain leather tulip skirt was worn, finally, when Lady Gaga arrived at SiriusXM Studios for an interview on “The Morning Jolt with Larry Flick” today. The 27-year-old ARTPOP singer wore a full look from designer Olivier Rousteing’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection for the fashion house, which included a draped sleeve black plunging v-neck long sleeve top and black-and-gold metallic belt. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: It looks like that not-so-simple black dress wasn’t a rare subdued moment for Gaga! The “Applause” singer stepped out of her hotel in West Hollywood over the weekend to greet some awaiting fans while donned in a straight-from-the-runway Balenciaga by Alexander Wang ensemble. Gaga selected the crackled high neck long sleeve white top with an attached black split peplum and matching trousers from the designer’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection for the beloved fashion house. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: I was pretty shocked to see Mama Monster in such a figure-flattering look when she stepped out of her hotel yesterday in West Hollywood as I haven’t seen her in something so—normal? since the Harrods launch of her “FAME” fragrance last year. The “Applause” singer selected a strapless LBD from the Resort 2013 collection by Alexander McQueen for her day out, but she wasn’t without some theatrics.
Gaga partnered the dress with long leather gloves and a pair of super sky-high lace up platform Azzedine Alaïa boots. | continue reading..
Stars on the guest-list included singers Lady Gaga, Jennifer Hudson, model Coco Rocha, and Princess Charlene of Monaco.
Donatella kicked off the night, with her gal-pal Lady Gaga by her side, rocking a crystal embellished strapless black leather tight jumpsuit from the Fall 2012 collection while Mother Monster also wore head-to-toe black; a knit crop top, knee-length swing skirt and a cropped fur jacket. She accessorized with a matching oversize hat, thick black leather belt and coordinating Mary-Jane pumps by Marni. | continue reading..
