MY VERDICT: Saoirse looked amazing in a rich shade of garnet when she hit the deep turquoise carpet for the Hollywood premiere of her new movie “The Host”.  The 18-year-old Irish-American actress selected the sleeveless Lanvin cocktail dress from the Spring 2013 collection, which features dazzling beaded embellishments down the sides with black ribbon detail.

I really liked this dress for Saoirse, because not only does it pop against her fair complexion and light blonde hair, but the loose shape very much suits the understated edgy-yet-classic style that I’ve always really enjoyed seeing from her.  | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Emma took advantage of the warmer pre-spring New York City weather when she attended the daytime premiere of her new animated film “The Croods”.  The adorable blonde actress wore head-to-toe Lanvin, which included the strapless black cocktail dress from the Hiver 2013 Pre-Collection with an adventurous flirty oversize bow at the back.  Because it’s not exactly summer, not only was it wise of Emma to warm up her dress with silk-chiffon flower appliqué top underneath, but I actually think it improved the dress for her.  The dress would have hung too loose otherwise. | continue reading..

WHO: Jennifer Lawrence
WHERE & WHEN: 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards on February 23, 2013.

MY VERDICT: I think I officially saw my favorite look from Jennifer this awards season today.  The “Silver Linings Playbook” actress graced the dark pink carpet at the annual Film Independent Spirit Awards where she donned a black neoprene halter cocktail dress by Lanvin, from the Spring 2013 collection, which features a bow at the waist with a cutout strappy back.  This super sexy LBD was such a stand out on the runway, but I have to say that I’m partial to the silver plated collar on Jen rather than the solid gold version Karlie Kloss donned on the catwalk.

Not only did the dress flatter Jen’s curves, but it was perfectly suited to create a sexy, polished and sophisticated look for the young actress.  Jen has worn a lot of mature dresses lately, but she seems much more comfortable here; finally in her element. | continue reading..

WHERE & WHEN: “Oz The Great And Powerful” World Premiere in Hollywood on February 13, 2013.
WEARING: Victoria Beckham Collection dress, Jimmy Choo shoes, Lanvin clutch, and Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

MY VERDICT: Michelle and Mila kept it neutral on the yellow brick road while their costar Rachel stepped out in a bright sunset orange silk crepe dress by Victoria Beckham.  I was pleasantly surprised by this choice as she often opts for a very demure look.  This sleek floor-length number comes from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, and while a similar nude frock featured the same strap and cutout detail, this exact design was not seen during the runway presentation.  I really love the vibrant and warm color, as well as the sexy cut of the silhouette.  Rachel let the dress stand out by toning her dark tresses down into a super slick side parted up-do, although part of me wishes she had left it out.

Sultry smoky eyes, a gold Lanvin clutch, and a matching Tiffany & Co. bracelet completed her look.  I’m loving those dark nails!

WHO: Carey Mulligan
WHERE & WHEN: 55th Annual Grammy Awards on February 10, 2013.
WEARING: Lanvin

MY VERDICT: Carey passed on the red carpet but was, thankfully, spotted backstage at the Grammys after Mumfod & Sons won big during the ceremony.  The actress married lead singer Marcus Mumford last spring.  Carey looked very cool in her event-appropriate ensemble of a jumpsuit, cropped tuxedo blazer and gold accessories.  She wore head-to-toe Lanvin; Look 1 from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection.  Carey practically donned everything exactly as it was on the runway, with the exception of one longer necklace.  I would say that it was missed as I liked it a lot on the model, but I think it might have been a tad to much. | continue reading..

Busy Philipps proudly displayed her growing belly in a custom made Gabriela Cadena navy blue long sleeve silk dress.  The “Cougar Town” actress, who recently announced her second pregnancy added some boldness to her look with a colorful one-of-a-kind Irene Neuwirth statement necklace and a matching embellished clutch by Judith Leiber.  A scarlet red lip, gathered mane and Brian Atwood “Stearling” shoes were the finishing touches.

Alexis Bledel like Jessica Pare, the 31-year-old actress also opted to wear a brilliant shade of emerald green at the SAGs this year. I love the color and pleated detailing of her structured Rena Lange dress, and the way her beautiful vintage House of Lavende colorful crystal necklace sat amongst the deep v-neckline. MY VERDICT: Jennifer may not have any plans to get married anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean she can’t have fun with the Lanvin Bridal collection! The 43-year-old looked incredible on the ruby red carpet last night for the New York City screening of her new film in a beautiful white strapless peplum cocktail dress from the line, which matched her Spring 2013 platform ankle strap pumps.  I’ve been growing tired of the peplum trend, but I obviously put that on hold when I fell in love with this look on her.  I especially love that pretty little bow!  With her honey blonde tresses free falling in loose waves, JLo completed her look with flawless makeup, diamond jewelry from Demarco, and a Tom Ford white minaudière. Several stars came out for an intimate cocktail soirèe for the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style honoring BVLGARI this past Wednesday in Beverly Hills, where some of Hollywood’s most lovely up-and-coming starlets hit the black carpet in pretty little dresses and sparkling jewels. Let’s take a look!

Bella Heathcote played with color and print by selecting this cap-sleeved Mary Katrantzou envelope and bird pattern Spring 2013 dress. With Mary’s dresses, you don’t really need any help in the accessories department—because let’s face it, your attention is going to that dress whether you’re into it or not. It’s going to take something major for the eye to stray, and that was no different in this case. With that said, Bella completed her look with black satin Lanvin pumps, a white Patrick Shannon minaudière, Bulgari jewels and wavy tresses.

Revenge star Christa B. Allen wore a black monochrome outfit, which consisted of a sleeveless ruched mock neck micro mini dress that she partnered with pointed toe t-bar patent pumps by Christian Louboutin that are appropriately titled the “T-Spiga”.
