MY VERDICT: Hours before hitting the red carpet at the MET ball in a gorgeous Vera Wang gown, “Peeples” actress Kerry Washington promoted her new movie with an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman” where she rocked a Prabal Gurung cocktail number. Kerry wore my favorite plunging v-neck dress from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection, which featured a vibrant violet satin peplum sleeveless top that’s connected to a black silk-satin and organza pencil skirt with an attached floral printed apron panel.

Kerry passed on a solid black belt in favor of a few edgy embellishments. I guess she was already getting into the punk state of mind. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Can Jessica please wear cobalt blue all the time?  The “Mama” actress looked incredible wearing a fabulous v-neck crepe cocktail dress by Antonio Berardi. The silhouette is absolutely flattering on her, but it’s the color and the sexy strappy back that makes the whole look for me.  It’s so vivid against Jessica’s fair complexion and awakens her luscious strawberry red tresses—which, by the way, were styled to perfection in glamorous full waves. She topped off her look with black suede “Irene” platform sandals by Rupert Sanderson.  I can’t wait to see what she wears to the Golden Globes later this month! | continue reading..

I’m sure Amanda Seyfried was thankful for the unusual warm weather in New York City tonight when she arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater for an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman” wearing a tiny black dress.

The blonde actress was a guest on the show to promote “Les Misèrables”—which hits theaters on Christmas Day! Amanda wore a black Michael Kors tricotine shift with gold passementerie; the sleeveless pocket design is a non-presented look from the Resort 2013 collection. Before her new movie “Pitch Perfect” opens in theaters this weekend, Anna Kendrick made a stop at the Ed Sullivan Theater on Thursday night to promote the musical comedy on the “Late Show with David Letterman”.

The 26-year-old actress braved the humid New York City weather wearing a single-shoulder draped canary yellow cocktail dress by Halston Heritage. I just love the bright and happy shade; it was perfect for the transition into fall.

Though I adore her mega platform B Brian Atwood “Bambola” peep toe pumps ($300, neimanmarcus.com), I really wish she had worn a printed version of them or just a colorful shoe in general. | continue reading..

Amy Adams brought promotion for her movie “The Master” to the East Coast last night with a guest appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman” where she donned a dark red longsleeve dress.

The pre-autumn weather has been nice this week, so I’m sure the slight breeze was just what Amy needed while wearing this ruched “Slack Jersey Twist” Dress by Helmut Lang. The rich color is gorgeous as well as the perfect tone to kick off the new season. It also seems to be a favorite of many — Olympic gold medalist Allyson Felix wore it earlier this month.

Amy looked great in the dress and I liked the way she accessorized with oversize teardrop hoop earrings, but I can’t say that I’m digging the shoes. Though I like the idea of it (and I’m all about boots), I just don’t think these short suede booties were the right match for this particular dress.

Serena Williams was a force to be reckon with when she arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater on Wednesday evening for an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman”, following her amazing gold medal win at the London Olympic Games earlier this month.

The tennis champ looked amazing in a poppy red textured wool-blend Victoria Beckham dress. The body-hugging sleeveless v-neck design, which featured a black woven belt at the waist, showed off her womanly curves, extremely toned arms and whittled middle. Jennifer Garner made her interview rounds last week during the New York leg of her press tour to promote her new Disney movie “The Odd Life of Timothy Green”. The 40-year-old mother of three showed a lot of leg in three very different sleeveless dresses — but, nothing could keep her from straying from a pair of comfortable heels.

For a taping of the “Late Show with David Letterman”, Jen arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater on Tuesday wearing a navy wool and black leather combo dress from Yves Saint Laurent, which hit her at the knees.

This is probably one of the cutest dresses I’ve seen on her in awhile. The center panel also created a slimming effect, which is what every woman can appreciate after recently having a baby. Jen looked great. She finished off her look with a pair of Norman Silverman 7.45 ct diamond earrings set in 18k white gold and black open toe Mary-Jane pumps by YSL. | continue reading..

Anne Hathaway arrived at Ed Sullivan Theaterlast night to tape an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman” last night while on a press tour for “The Dark Knight Rises” in New York City.

Wearing her third LBD of the week, Anne selected this sleeveless cocktail dress from the Resort 2013 collection by Stella McCartney with fringe elements at the neck, waist and back.

While in New York City this week to promote his new movie “The Amazing Spider-Man”, Andrew Garfield stopped by the Ed Sullivan Theater for an appearance on the “Late Show With David Letterman” this past Tuesday.

Andrew has been on a tremendous stylish streak with this press tour.  We’ve seen him in leather combo bomber jackets, aqua pants and a matching shirt, various prints like stripes and my personal favorite — plaid.

The 28-year-old English actor played with the pattern again for this appearance. He wore a navy two button peak lalep stafford check Marseille suit from the Spring 2012 collection by Gucci.  Between the slim fit and the ankle-length of the pants, it enhanced his black dress shoes — but the longer length of the jacket balanced it all out.

Andrew completed his dashing and bold look with a white fitted dress shirt and a navy satin tie, both also from Gucci.
