MY VERDICT: Michelle was a vision in red when she walked the oceanic blue carpet for the world premiere of the sixth installment of the “Fast & Furious” movie series, which was held at the Empire Leicester Square in London. The 34-year-old actress showed off her glamorous side in a scarlet lace strapless gown from the Fall 2013 collection by Chagoury Couture; the ultra-sleek design flowed out into a beautiful train. I like that Michelle opted for minimal diamond jewelry–which she limited to the wrists and fingers, before finishing off her premiere look with soft makeup and a simple-yet-elegant twisted up ‘do.

I believe this is one of her best red carpet moments to date.

MY VERDICT: Michelle has been killing it on the press tour for “Oz: The Great and Powerful”!  Every event brings yet another fabulous outfit, and the London premiere wasn’t any different.  The 32-year-old actress worked her asymmetric pixie haircut with a feathered blue Burberry Prorsum cocktail dress this time around.  I love the balance between her edgy hairstyle partnered with the funky embroidery and vibrant dimensional color of the Spring 2013 knee-length dress. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: I had been hoping to see Mila save an emerald green gown for the major London premiere of “Oz: The Great and Powerful”—but, she turned to a smoky grey.  The 29-year-old actress posed on the green turf rug in a tiered fishnet strapless gown by Alexander McQueen, but thankfully, she accessorized with gorgeous emerald gems on her ears and finger that were created by Alexandra Mor and Dominic Jones, exclusively for Gemfields.

The dress is sweet and it fit Mila well, but it was kind of anticlimactic when you take into account her last two premiere dresses.  | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Rachel took the yellow brick road all the way to the London premiere of “Oz: The Great and Powerful”, and she glittered in a pretty nude embroidered lace Michael Kors gown. The strapless floor-length gown comes from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection and features ruched detail at the side, a sweetheart bodice, and a leather belted waist.

MY VERDICT: Julianne was a vixen in red when she joined her “Safe Haven” costar Josh Duhamel for the photocall of their new movie on London. The 24-year-old actress showed off her dancer bod in a sexy sleeveless “Vida” jumpsuit by the Australian clothing line Bec & Bridge, which features a plunging crossover bodice. While I’m sure this one piece had Julianne ‘re-adjusting’ a lot, I think the overall design is cool and she was the perfect gal to rock it. A pair of open toe sandals, minimal makeup, and a twisted wavy mane helped Julianne complete her press look. I love her hair like this, and hope she keeps it in a “bob” for awhile.

MY VERDICT: Rita donned bright peach for the BRIT Awards this year to go with her signature red matte lip! The “Radioactive” singer showed up at the O2 Arena wearing a satin gown from the Spring 2013 Haute Couture collection by Russian designer Ulyana Sergeenko. When Rita turned around for photographers, she gave them an eye-full of her open back with draped material that pooled at the rear. I thought the dress was fine on the runway, but now it just appears “unfinished” to me considering those frayed cap sleeves and piled rump fabric. She completed her look with a loosely gathered up-do, gold jewelry, and a lucite clutch. Rita had some Chanel makeup stashed in there, just so you know.

MY VERDICT: Taylor and Jessie J were matching at the BRIT Awards this year as both opted for black gowns with gold belts; while the English singer turned to a dramatic plunging neck, the “22″ songstress gave us a little leg with strategically placed sheer panels at the maxi skirt of her Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2013 design.  Sheer insets made a reappearance at the shoulders of Taylor’s sleeveless bodice.  Granted, I wish the upper part of the dress fit Tay a little more snug—but, it should go without saying that I loved this. This dress is so unique, and I’m glad that it was worn for a music celebration as it exudes such a cool vibe.

She added a little bronze on her cheeks and lips to compliment all of the metallic elements of the outfit before completing her look with sultry smoky eyes, long lightly waved tresses (still loving those bangs!), and a badass pair of Giuseppe Zanotti black sandals with gold snake detail. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Jessie J rocked the BRIT Awards red carpet in a sexy long sleeve black silk-chiffon gown by Versace, which featured a plunging v-neck and a rising slit.  Who knew the singer that was famous for skintight embellished catsuits, spandex animal print dresses, and sheer panels with feathers would ever don something so fluid and simple-yet-sultry?  A gleaming gold belt sat at Jessie’s waist to break up the design; with such dramatic cuts going on, it was smart that she toned the rest down a bit with classic pointed toe “Anouk” pumps by Jimmy Choo and subtle golden tone makeup.  She completed her look with slinky straight tresses and gold jewelry from Susan Caplan.  Gorgeous! | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Somewhere out there, Dorothy is wearing the matching shoes to the dress Gemma donned on the BRIT Awards red carpet this year.  The “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters” actress shimmered in a ruby sequin cardigan dress from the Spring 2013 collection by Jonathan Saunders.  I really liked the drop waist of this design on the runway, and while that didn’t change on Gemma, I noticed that the angled cut of the skirt had virtually disappeared.  Needless to say, I prefer the fit on the model as well as the color combination of the sandals.  Gemma opted for black and white, which didn’t compliment as well as the charcoal and scarlet colorway.  Bummer.

MY VERDICT: Bérénice flawlessly flaunted her curves as stepped out on the red carpet this year for the BRIT Awards.  The “Skyfall” actress accentuated her tiny waist in a perfectly fitted silver silk lamé Donna Karan Atelier gown, which featured draping along the bust and waist.  I love the way Bérénice gathered her dark chocolate cascading waves to one side to show off the asymmetric top of the dress with a thin strap that gives way to a sexy open back. As for her makeup, Bérénice kept her lips and cheeks neutral to highlight her intense dark smoky eyes before completing her look with diamond and ruby sapphire jewelry.
