I was getting such a modernized feel of 1920s glamour from Nicole Richie’s look at the 1st annual Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday night in Culver City, California.

The designer, television personality and mama of two stepped out on the green turf carpet at The Bookbindery where she donned a luminous pale pink sleeveless gown by Lorena Sarbu. The sleek floor-length dress—which comes from Sarbu’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection, features an all-over tribal triangle embossed sequin pattern and a incredible illusion of a drop-waist that completely sold me on the look. | continue reading..

Morena Baccarin: The “Homeland” actress rocked a plunging neck strapless grey dress with pleating at the bust and hips. I thought she pushed the risk of a “wardrobe malfunction”, but thankfully Morena had an illusion inset within the v-neck opening. Red lips, bold diamond jewelry and a pewter minaudière were the finishing touches to Morena’s Emmys look.

Glenn Close: After completely falling in love with Glenn’s look at the Oscars this year, I was excited to see what she would wear to the Emmys. The “Damages” actress wore a Bibhu Mohapatra printed long-sleeve mermaid gown with black sheer draped panels at the skirt and all over sharp details layered throughout the rest. I may have felt differently about the dress on someone else, but it did absolutely nothing for me on Glenn. She accessorized with a pair of satin “Anya” sandals by Dana Davis.

Gretchen Mol: Unless you’re wearing black (or black-and-white), you run a risk wearing a monochrome look on the red carpet. At least if it’s all the same shade of one color. I’m surprised with how much I loved what Gretchen wore. | continue reading..

Britney Spears joined Demi Lovato on Saturday for auditions in San Francisco, California for the second season of “The X Factor”.

The 30-year-old pop singer showed off her toned gams in a pale gold spakling sequin, long sleeve dress by Lorena Sarbu.

I liked her curly hair, but I miss when she used to have swept bangs and wish she would go back to that.

Ellie Kemper hit the red carpet Sunday night for the 2012 Golden Globe Awards in a gorgeous shade of bright teal!

The “Bridesmaids” actress wore a sleeveless version of this long sleeve crew-neck beaded gown from the Resort 2012 collection by Lorena Sarbu.

E!’s Giuliana Rancic has had a difficult end of 2011 as she has been fighting breast cancer, but at the beginning of the year she was all smiles on the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards. She looked stunning in a black strapless floor-length dress with a intricate pleated bodice designed by Julia Clancy.

Giuliana finished off her look with lighter additions including pale pink stone drop earrings with lacquered nails and a glossy lip to match! Her hair was styled high in a teased up-do with swept bangs that were slightly curled at the end.

The ladies of the country music group Little Big Town were designer twins on the red carpet at the Bridgestone Arena last night in Nashville for the 2011 CMA Awards.

Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman both selected gowns by Lorena Sarbu for the big night. Kim opted for a Resort 2012 silver sequin halter gown with plunging neck; Karen wore a black sequin gown with an open neck and grey sequin prints from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection.

While I’m more in favor of Karen’s gown, both ladies looked great. Kimberly didn’t try to tame her big blonde curls, and Kim went for a little volume too with her chocolate brown waves. | continue reading..
