Sara Evans isn’t a fan of gowns, but a rare opportunity had her donned in one
at the CMA Awards earlier this month — and she looked amazing. Last night she was caught in the middle when she arrived at the CMT Artists of the Year 2011 celebration in Nashville wearing this black calf-length pinstriped cocktail dress with floral embroidery by
Mandalay.
Sara was on-hand to celebrate the five acts who were honored with being the “CMT Artists of the Year” for 2011; including Jason Aldean, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum and Brad Paisley.
She’s said in the past that she “really likes to show off her legs” — which is part of her aversion towards gowns. I personally think this length not only shows off a little leg, but it also flatters her shape. She should try and stick to this silhouette once in a while.
Just like at the CMA Awards, Sara left her layered hair pin straight… and I still like it.
The night featured performances and appearances by Gavin DeGraw, Miranda Lambert, Matthew McConaughey, Lionel Richie, the All-American Rejects, Ellen DeGeneres, and many more. The event will air on December 13th at 9 p.m. ET/PT only on CMT.
Sara finished off her look with black suede platform peep toe pumps.
