MY VERDICT: There were many stars that completely missed the mark of the MET Gala this year. The theme was PUNK: Chaos to Couture, and yet so many looked like they were going to the Oscars instead of celebrating a punk exhibition. That being said, Miley was definitely not one of them. The 20-year-old hit the red carpet in Marc Jacobs; a nude column dress with a long sleeve black fishnet overlay from the designer’s Fall 2013 collection. She had already nailed the concept with the dress, but took it a step further with a totally spiked out ‘do, black diamond Eddie Borgo armor rings, red lips and gold glittered nails. | continue reading..

Florence Welch took some time out of touring to help Kate Moss celebrate her new book at the special party hosted by Marc Jacobs at 50 St. James in London on Thursday night, where she wore a brand new dress from his Spring 2013 collection!

The “Spectrum” singer arrived for the celebration wearing a beige and white swirled stripe long sleeved floor-length dress. I was a bit apprehensive about this when I saw it on the runway, but it’s absolutely perfect for Flo! The design is a bit quirky, a lot of fun and totally unique—which sums up a lot of the things the Florence + the Machine front-woman often wears. Personally, I like it more on Florence than I do on the model.

She complimented the dress with a matching leather clutch–in a few shakes darker–and gold nails.

Kate Moss celebrated the launch of her new book “Kate: The Kate Moss Book” at a special party thrown in her honor by her friend Marc Jacobs. The fancy celebration was held at 50 St. James on Thursday night in London.

The 38-year-old model sparkled in a custom made gold Marc Jacobs gown with a plunging neck. I liked the intricate swirled detail at the bodice, but I really like that it wasn’t your typical short party dress.

Kate really stood out—as she should considering it was her big night.

With her long multidimensional blonde hair styled in piecey waves, she completed her look with gold jewelry, nude lips, dark kohl-lined eyes and a black quilted handbag.

Helena Bonham Carter joined her husband Tim Burton on the red carpet at the Odeon Leicester Square tonight as his new animated movie “Frankenweenie 3D” premiered during opening night of the 56th BFI London Film Festival.

The witty English actress dolled up for the night wearing a cropped shrug over her black-and-white Marc Jacobs embroidered cocktail dress, from the Resort 2011 collection.  Helena obviously keeps this dress near and dear to her heart as she also wore it to the 2011 Screen Actor’s Guild Awards.  | continue reading..

“Once Upon A Time” star Ginnifer Goodwin hit the golden rug last night for Entertainment Weekly’s annual pre-Emmy party!

The 34-year-old actress arrived at Fig & Olive Melrose Place wearing a two-tone blue dress from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection by Jenny Packham, which had silver embellishments in an Aztec pattern along the base of the dress as well as sparkling crystal detail at the cuffs of her long sleeves and the crew-neckline.

It should be known that LADY GAGA never does anything halfway, so you should also not be surprised by her hair-raising September cover of the ultimate fashion magazine, our beloved VOGUE.

Lens by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the pop star poses on the cover of the 916-page issue, which also marks its 120th anniversary, wearing a gorgeous metallic purple off-the-shoulder mermaid gown by Marc Jacobs.

The soaring ribbon adorned cover is a great departure from past issues, but does it “fly” with you? If not, let’s pay attention to the inside where Gaga is styled in a furry ensemble of Fall/Winter 2012 fashion.
