MY VERDICT: It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Blake out on the red carpet, but the newlywed actress made an exciting return when she attended the New York premiere of the animated film “The Croods”, which stars her husband Ryan Reynolds.  The 25-year-old showcased her mile-long legs in a sexy burgundy long sleeve mini dress by Marios Schwab, from the designer’s new Fall 2013 collection.  The edgy number includes white lining with split detail at the elbow and a cool patent inset at the bodice.  This was definitely my favorite dress from the line; | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Like Leslie Mann, the 27-year-old “Les Misèrables” actress also opted for something very different last night—a cool blue lace embroidered dress by Marios Schwab.  Amanda has been a longtime fan of the designer’s style, so I’m not surprised to see that she turned to him for a dress; I was just shocked and kind of intrigued by the fact that she wore it for this ceremony.  To be completely honest, I love it.  I think it’s young, fresh, and just really very cool.

Amanda had this interesting woven top knot going on that I dig, which she complimented with smokey eyes, nude lips and black strappy platform sandals.  She just had the whole package going on; everything balanced out.  I don’t think every actress could pull something like this off, but there’s something about Amanda.  She owned it.

 

Gemma Arterton clipped a page from Naomi Harris’ style book and tried her hand at a see-through Marios Schwabblack gown and iridescent bodysuit when she attended the PeaceEarth foundation fundraising gala in London, England over the weekend.

The “Song for Marion” actress selected her lacy creation from Schwab’s Resort 2013 collection, while the latest Bond girl opted for a strikingly similar Spring 2012 design. The only obvious difference between the two dresses is the fact that Naomi’s wasn’t made of lace. | continue reading..

Lizzie Brocheré is the latest recruit for the hit show “American Horror Story: Asylum”, so it was no surprise to see her on the red carpet for Saturday night’s Hollywood premiere, held at Paramount Studios.

The French actress wore a mauve and black crepe sleeveless dress by Marios Schwab with mesh detail at the bodice. It appears to be a non-presented look from the Resort 2013 collection; you may remember seeing Rosamund Pike wearing a green and blue version a few months back.

Though the style of dress was unique, Lizzie kept the rest of her look very classic with black stockings, a satin evening clutch and pointed toe pumps.
