Marisa Tomei joined in on the festivities this past Wednesday at the annual British Fashion Council cocktail party celebrating LONDON show ROOMS LA.

The 47-year-old actress arrived at SkyBar at Mondrian Los Angeles wearing a Marios Schwab netted long-sleeve crop top with a zipped front, from the Spring 2012 runway collection. | continue reading..

Marisa Tomei checked out the Spring 2013 Menswear presentation and private dinner for Berluti on Friday — held during Paris Fashion Week — where she added bright pops of color to her pale dress.

The “Inescapable” actress wore a long sleeve icy pink crew-neck dress from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection by Roksanda Ilincic, which features striking blue petal bell sleeves. Marisa pulled from the color and wore a pair of aqua and blue “Demi Circle” platform sandals by Aperlai, while carrying a pale pink clutch. | continue reading..

It’s nice to see the Spring 2012 collection by Peter Pilotto still getting some red carpet love, and that’s exactly what Marisa Tomei was giving when she wore this printed blue dress to the British Fashion Council’s International Showcasing Initiative ‘LONDON Show ROOMS LA’ cocktail soirèe on Monday.

The “Ides of March” actress arrived on the white carpet at Smashbox Studios in West Hollywood rocking the cool design, but I’m really not sure why she played it safe with bone-colored leather Christian Louboutin pumps.

She could have totally went for it with complimenting strappy sandals, but other than that — and her so-so hairstyle), I really liked the dress on her.

Marisa Tomei embraced the chilly New York City weather last night and selected this wool dress from Preen‘s Fall/Winter 2011 collection.

The floor-length longsleeve dress in various shades of navy blue features embellished chain detail on the cuffs, a collared neckline, and a crepe pocket skirt with loops for a leather belt that breaks off into a silk with a front split to show off some leg. The different elements that make it look like it’s four pieces in one is so interesting, I’m surprised it took this long for it to be worn. | continue reading..

Finally, Marisa Tomei wore a cocktail dress that worked for her! Marisa arrived at the Beverly Hills premiere of “The Ides of March” held at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theatre wearing a Marios Schwab deep red dress from his fall collection.

The silk gathered halter dress hit Marisa just below the knees and opened just enough at the neckline to add some drama without being overtly sexy. The leather belt features two side panel overlays at her hips. I’m a firm believer in the motto that ‘a little leather never hurt anyone’, so obviously I take that personally and run with it – a lot. Marisa went for it tonight and the dress looked great on her! | continue reading..

Marisa Tomei in Proenza Schouler | 2011 TIFF Premiere – “The Ides of March”

Marisa Tomei hit up the Toronto Film Festival as her next top on the promotional tour for “The Ides of March”. Marisa opted for the Navajo printed fold-over dress from Proenza Schouler‘s fall collection which she paired with the killer PS multi-strap sandals with cut-out detail going up the back calf.

This was and still is one of my favorite dresses from the collection and while I was blissfully excited to see Sarah Jessica Parker pose in it for the August 2011 issue of VOGUE, I had been hoping to see it on the red carpet. I saw a thumbnail of Marisa and was so excited, but it was diminished slightly when I noticed she didn’t wear the belt it was paired with on the runway. The lack of belt caused the dress to loose shape which made it appear boxy on Marisa’s frame.

The PS boys, Jack and Lazaro, will present their Spring 2012 collection next week as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, hopefully I’ll get a few more chances of seeing the fall collection on the carpet before stylists are snatching up the new looks. You know they will.
