After some pretty lackluster looks at the 11th Marrakech International Film Festival, Jessica Chastain had a little fun for the closing ceremonies this past Saturday night, December 10th, in Marrakech, Morroco.

For her red carpet appearance, Jessica selected the peach satin and taupe mesh strapless graphic dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Viktor & Rolf that featured a voluminous asymmetric puff skirt.

This look was kind of borderline when it came to blending in too much with her fair skin, yet again — but I still thought it was really cute on her. It didn’t wash her out as much as the Dior earlier in the festival, and thank goodness she stayed away from the red lipstick this time around. | continue reading..

Jessica Chastain was back on the red carpet at the Marrakech International Film Festival in Marrakech, Morocco this past Wednesday for a special tribute to actor Forrest Whitaker and his work in film.

For the evening, Jessica selected a pretty peach crushed satin v-neck cocktail dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Louis Vuitton with a stencil flower appliqué at the bottom.

I want to like it — it’s a great fit and dress for her — but the color just completely washes out Jessica’s fair complexion. She should have worn a dress in the blue or mint green colors from the collection. With that said, I do like her make-up and the twisty messy bun hairstyle with that stray curl. | continue reading..

Jessica Chastain was back on the red carpet on Tuesday night during the Marrakech International Film Festival in Marrakech, Morocco. She started off on a rocky note with me when she donned that Christian Dior dress last week, but I think she improved when she arrived on the red carpet in a brilliant green short-sleeve lurex knit dress by Issa.

Not only did it look comfortable and suit her figure, it didn’t wash her out as the Dior did. Jessica has very fair skin, but the green complimented it as well as her strawberry red hair. I actually shuddered when I saw photos of Jessica Chastain from the 11th annual Marrakech International Film Festival opening ceremony this past Friday.

The beautiful 30-year-old “The Help” actress, who will soon star as the late Princess Diana in an upcoming biopic, was not looking her best in Marrakech, Morocco.

There’s no doubt that her Christian Dior black and white a-line cocktail dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection is stunning, it was just all wrong for her.

It might not have been so bad if her hair wasn’t ballerina-pulled-tight, and if her red lipstick wasn’t making the rest of her ghastly pale. With the lack of dazzling shoes and her feet clad in chunky satin black Roger Vivier sandals, this just made for a flat look. The worst part of all was that she not only went sans bra, she didn’t have any coverage at all. Let’s just say she left nothing to the imagination with the sheer fabric at the bodice.

I would have loved to have seen her pretty red tendrils in glamorous curls, a sparkling diamond bracelet, and lighter sandals. I won’t hold this against her because I know she can really win on the red carpet.
