Christina Ricci put on her best navy pumps and walked the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Tuesday night for the HBO’s In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye screening in New York City.

The 32-year-old “War Flowers” actress wore an adorable black and charcoal grey Richard Chai Love sleeveless combo mini dress, from the Fall 2012 collection. Christina is petite, so the length and style work for her. As for the look—I liked the various sized colorblock stripes, but I prefer the skinny belt on the runway that was used around the gathering at the top of the skirt.

Christina wore her ombré tresses sleek and swept to the side that showed off her large diamond stud earrings, which was pretty much the extent of her jewelry. She completed her look with a black patent clutch and cute midnight navy satin pumps. I still find myself wishing she had worked a funkier heel.

Sarah Jessica Parker stepped out last night in a mismatched outfit for HBO’s In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye screening, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Seriously, nothing matched nor did it compliment each other.

First things first, I liked the vintage dark rust-orange floral dress she wore.  The long hemline and length of the short sleeves flattered both her legs and arms.  In fact, this might be one of the most figure complimenting dresses that she has ever worn. I agree with her shoe choice; she needed a pointed toe stiletto.  | continue reading..

Dianna Agron caught the “HBO’s In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye” screening tonight at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City where she wore head-to-toe Bottega Veneta.

The 26-year-old “Glee” star posed on the red carpet wearing a pretty floral printed dress from the Spring 2013 collection with ladylike fluttering short sleeves and a slim silhouette defined by an embellished belt.  | continue reading..

Cate Blanchett was a guest of Alexander McQueen ‘s head-designer Sarah Burton on Monday night for the 2012 MET Gala.

The 42-year-old statuesque actress hit the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art wearing a daring black trumpet gown from the Fall 2012 collection that was completely embroidered in black feathers.

I love the silhouette and style; Cate looked lovely in it. Sure, it was extravagant but it wasn’t tacky and nothing else was overdone.

Cate kept the look chic with a high-volume low ponytail and a fresh face of make-up. In fact, her lightly lined eyes and pale glossy lips were pretty much flawless. | continue reading..

Leslie Mann joined her husband Judd Apatow (not pictured) on the red carpet on Monday evening for the annual Metropolitan Costume Institute Gala where she wore a beautiful blushing pink embroidered mullet gown by Nina Ricci.

The Pre-Fall 2012 silk chiffon gown featured thin adjustable straps and a full front of large ruffles that trimmed the long train.

A crystal embellished black grosgrain belt sat at the center of her waist and matched her black lace up open toe satin sandals.

Leslie wore her long blonde hair in a teased swept up style with straying face framing pieces.

She finished off her look with a crystal embroidered minaudière.

Abbie Cornish was among the star-studded guest list for the MET Costume Institute Gala on Monday evening in New York City to celebrate the opening of the “Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations” exhibit.

The “Sucker Punch” actress wore an archived haute couture ball gown from Christian Dior ‘s Spring 2010 collection; a raisin-colored wide v-neck bodice that attached to a full tonal textured black gown skirt.

I like the dress, but I feel like she needed a cool Victorian necklace or something.

I’m not a big fan of her hair at all. She should have just left all of it out in pincurls instead of just that straying piece.

Hailee Steinfeld in Miu Miu | 2012 MET Gala

I almost missed Hailee Steinfeld on the red carpet at the MET Gala this past Monday — but she didn’t stay hidden for long!

The 15-year-old attended the opening of the “Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations” exhibit wearing a Miu Miu blush pink silk organza ribbon trimmed strapless gown embellished with animated glass and crystal embroidery.

I love the stunning stunning appliqués on this dress!

Hailee’s mega long locks weren’t distracting, but because of them I can’t tell if they’re making her bodice look like it’s slouching down or if it actually needs an adjustment.

She completed her look with Miu Miu heels.

Solange Knowles in Rachel Roy | 2012 MET Gala

Solange Knowles looked amazing in a yellow peplum gown by Rachel Roy as she joined the designer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday night for the annual Costume Institute Gala. This year the soirèe honored the opening of the  “Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations” exhibition.

The sunflower color really popped against the 25-year-old’s rich and even complexion.

I like that she limited her jewelry to dazzling up one hand with a sparkling gold and glitter deco cuff bracelet, multiple rings and a matching shimmering long clutch. | continue reading..

Marion Cotillard represented Christian Diorat the 2012 MET Gala on Monday night wearing a gorgeous two-tone gown from the Spring 2012 haute couture collection.

“The Dark Knight Rises” actress selected a strapless black sequin paillette embroidered design with a sheer rich violet skirt in which the detailed scattered about a the top.

I think the dress looks amazing on her, but I’m disappointed in the fact that the single sleeve violet shrug that was paired with this look on the runway was absent. Majorly disappointed. | continue reading..

Lena Dunham wasn’t the only “Girls” star on the red carpet for the 2012 MET Gala this past Monday — her costar Allison Williams arrived to the star-packed soirèe in vibrant magenta!

The 31-year-old actress selected a Fall 2012 strapless column silk charmuese gown by Ralph Lauren Collection.

Allison kept her look fairly simple for her MET debut. She accessorized with a gold metallic minaudière that matched her gold bracelets, ring and earrings.

She left her long chestnut brown tresses out and cascading down her back.
