MY VERDICT: I had a few ideas in mind of what I would’ve liked to have seen Miranda wear at the Grammys as I had grown tired of ill-fitting looks that had been letting her down on the red carpet recently.  She may have worn something that didn’t even cross my mind as a possibilty, but that doesn’t mean I disliked it.  The Country singer looked beautiful in a midnight blue silk-chiffon Roberto Cavalli gown, which featured a plunging neckline and a high thigh slit.  I love the color, and the draping at the waist gave her a bit of a slimming effect as well—what woman doesn’t love that?

Miranda styled her long honey-blonde locks in a pretty partially gathered swept ‘do that allowed for her multicolored geode Kimberly McDonald statement earrings to, well, make a statement.  | continue reading..

The 2013 Grammy Awards–aka, the BIGGEST night in music–will soon be underway, and with that major red carpet comes a wish list of what I’d like to see some of your favorite stars of song wearing.  This is the first time I’ve created a list for this particular award show, and I have to say, I was pretty excited for it.  With some music-centered ceremonies, there are a lot of super short party dresses, but I feel like Grammy night leaves more room for glamorous gowns.  Think of it as the Oscars for music.

Maybe some of the ladies will wear something similar or exact to what I envision, or maybe they won’t. Miranda Lambert was all about showing off some leg last night when she attended the 2012 American Country Awards.  The 29-year-old Country singer wore a long sleeve black Reem Acra dress, from the Fall 2012 collection, which featured a mock neck and silver sparkling geometric pattern throughout.

I really liked the dress on the runway, but the too-snug fit and shorter hem on Miranda wasn’t as appealing.  I think if she wore a dress that just below her knee, it would flatter her much more.  I wish I could say the dress was the only problem with her look, but I’m not really sure what’s going on with her super intense “sock bun” and sharp loose pieces.  | continue reading..

After a truly unflattering red carpet look, Miranda Lambert changed her dress during the 2012 CMA Awards on Thursday night when she took the stage to accept her many awards alongside her husband Blake Shelton.

This time around, Miranda wore a pretty Jovani strapless silk-chiffon navy blue cocktail dress with a flirty pleated skirt, a twisted sweetheart bodice and a sparkling sapphire crystal embellished empire-waist belt. Miranda Lambert may have failed to spark any interest from me with her red carpet arrival dress at the 2012 CMA Awards tonight–but, she definitely caught my attention when she hit the stage during the ceremony to rock the house with her hit song “The Fastest Girl In Town”.

It was all about the power duo Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton when the talented couple hit the red carpet tonight for the 2012 CMA Awards, held in Nashville, Tennessee.

The “Fastest Girl in Town” singer wore a desert silk mousseline “Anika” gown by Maria Lucia Hohan, which featured a grosgrain ribbon tied around the waist and nude lining underneath ($1,154, mlh-shop.com).  This dress comes in a large variety of rich jewel tone colors, and maybe if Miranda had worn a different color I would have liked this dress on her more… | continue reading..

Miranda Lambert spent her weekend in Louisville, Kentucky where she took part in all of the festivities surrounding the annual — and legendary — Kentucky Derby.

On Friday night she attended the Barnstable-Brown Derby gala, but the following day found Mrs. Blake Shelton on the red carpet for the Derby.

Miranda wore a pretty Spring 2012 strapless white silk dress by Lela Rose with metallic abstract jacquard polka dots. As with her dress the previous night, Miranda’s asymmetrically cut design featured peek-a-boo dark grey tulle layering beneath her full skirt. | continue reading..
