After nearly a two month promotional tour for “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol”, Paula Patton got to kick back and party into the new year with her husband Robin Thicke. The couple rang in 2012 at Diddy’s hosted “CIROC The New Year 2012″.

For the biggest party of the year, Paula Patton slipped into a black silk sleeveless mini dress by Moschino Cheap & Chic with a drapey neckline and completely embellished with gold safety pins.

I had only seen a few pictures of her sitting on Robin’s lap, so I figured the extra short version of this was just hiking up on her thighs from being seated. The pink overload that Jennifer Lopez had going on in head-to-toe Gucci at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala this year was just too much for me to look at. She’s fierce, we all know that — and she could definitely work a look from this collection — this just wasn’t her look. I appreciate that you can get away with more at this particular event than you can pretty much anywhere else, but I was really hoping for more from her. Paula Patton took a peek into the Dolce&Gabbana archives for her appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday, December 21st.

Paula showed off her toned figured in a totally shortened black version of this sheer ruched dress with mesh insets that was seen on the catwalk for Dolce&Gabbana‘s Spring/Summer 2007 collection. I love when the stars wear older looks that never really got a chance to shine on the red carpet.

It was certainly revealing around the bust, but it looked and fit great on Paula. I’m glad she didn’t wear chunky sandals or boots; Paula opted for sleek leopard printed point toe pumps. | continue reading..

Paula Patton had a great time playing with color when she arrived for a morning interview on NBC’s “Today” show on December 21st. The “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” actress wore a navy blue lace longsleeve dress with off-white underlining by Temperley London.

She arrived wearing a black winter coat, but during ther interview with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb she layered on a dark blue velvet Dolce&Gabbana blazer. This is the same jacket she wore for the Seoul press conference earlier this month.

Paula finished off her look with another burst of color — red satin Giuseppe Zanotti platform open-toe pumps!

I like the pieces individually, but the look as whole is a bit too Fourth of July for me.

While Paula Patton and Tom Cruise were tackling a “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” premiere elsewhere, Lea Seydoux hit the red carpet in Paris to celebrate the fourth installment at the Cinema Pathe Quai D’Ivry earlier this month.
