Solange Knowles stepped out in another unique creation when she attended the Cartier hosted 2012 MoMA Party in the Garden benefit at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old entertainer played DJ to the event, but arrived like a superstar in this green, black and white printed jacket and asymmetric skirt paired with a white tee from textile designer Flaminia Saccucci.

Saccucci won first prize at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design for her young, fresh and innovative collection. Solange’s half shorts, half skirt ensemble is from her CSM “Collection of The Year 2011″.

This is the second break out designer that Solange has won in the last two months!

Letting her outfit do all of the talking, she kept her accessories much more low key. Solange finished off her look with a tight curly ‘do, bright red lips, minimal jewelry, a printed minaudière and a pair of pointed toe beige pumps.

Glenn Close joined her co-star Mia Wasikowska last night at the Giorgio Armani-hosted New York screening of their movie, “Albert Nobbs”. Glenn goes undercover as man in order to work – and survive – during 19th century Ireland in this drama directed by Rodrigo García.

Mia Wasikowska arrived at the Museum of Modern Art last night in New York City for the special screening of her movie “Albert Nobbs” — hosted by Giorgio Armani.

I’ve been less-than-enthused with some of Mia’s recent looks, but my interest was piqued when I saw photos of her in this Elie Saab dress from the Fall/Winter 2010 collection. The 22-year-old actress selected the demure black cap sleeve cocktail dress with a high neck and floral appliqué for the evening.

I’ve seen her in a red vixen strapless gown, an aqua night gown, and numerous cocktail dress; somehow I was just not expecting to see Amber arrive in this Jean Paul Gaultier dolman long-sleeve silk black gown.

This could have been a really great look for Amber, but I’m so beyond dis appointed that she didn’t put her hair up. I do love the make-up; including those shocking pink lips, and I adore her diamond and onyx Canturi earrings. | continue reading..
