MY VERDICT: I thought I had reached my fill of jumpsuits on the red carpet with so many to enjoy these last few weeks, but Naya Rivera reawakened my interest when she hit the red carpet for the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto this weekend. MY VERDICT: Naya flaunted her killer figure when she rocked the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of “The Hangover Part III” in a black bandeau top and a gorgeous Donna Karan origami folded pencil skirt with crystal beaded embroidery, from the designer’s Resort 2013 collection.

There were a million things right with this skirt, and one major thing wrong with the top. I’m all about ‘the crop’ being worked into just about everything this year, but I think of bandeau tops as something you either wear to the beach or under a casual tank top. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Naya was one of the brightest shining stars at the SAG Awards this year, even though she wore the darkest color.  The 26-year-old “Glee” actress showed off her toned figure and flawless caramel skin in a sexy Donna Karan Atelier silk duchess satin gown, which featured an exposed corset which was surrounded by fanned out accordion pleated detailing.  I’d say out of the few short years her FOX show has been on air, this is probably Naya’s most show-stopping red carpet moment.  With her long dark tresses styled in glamorous curls, Naya completed her look with rosy cheeks, pink lips, and emerald-and-diamond jewelry.

MY VERDICT: Naya Rivera joined her “Glee” costar Darren Criss as they performed during the Kids’ Inaugural: Our Children, Our Future concert concert for children and military families. The event took place over the weekend before Monday’s Presidential Inauguration for Barack Obama’s second term.  Although we’re already into Pre-Fall 2013 for Stella McCartney, I don’t think I’ll ever grow tired of the designer’s Fall 2012 collection—it was too good.  | continue reading..

It was a quite the swanky affair last night when the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills quickly filled up with some of the most talented ladies (and fellas) in Tinseltown as they came together to help honor their fellow actors at ELLE Magazine’s annual Women In Hollywood event.

Ellie Kemper kept it chic in an ivory Moschino peplum cocktail dress with a ruffled neckline, from the Fall 2011 collection. I really love that she added some color to her look with deep red accessories. She carried a patent clutch with matching pumps before topping it all off with 18k white gold earrings with rubies and diamonds from Katerina Maxine.

“Glee” actress Naya Rivera also opted for a Fall 2011 dress by Moschino; a yellow cream sleeveless shift dress with light pin-tucking at the waist. She also opted for red accessories, including a gold and bordeaux tube clutch that she partnered with velvet open toe platform Tory Burch pumps. Let’s cut to the chase, Evan Rachel Wood rocked my world tonight. ERW’s beaded black Elie Saab fall 2011 ready-to-wear gown was perfection for the 24-year-old “Mildred Pierce” star. She was the picture of old Hollywood glamour from her pinned waves, her dramatic make-up, the glamorous silhouette of the gown and the train that glided across the carpet as she moved. I more than loved it.

“True Blood” actress Anna Paquin skipped the red carpet and I only saw her behind a microphone stand briefly during the ceremony, so it wasn’t until the HBO after-party that I got to take in all that was her Alexander McQueen gown. I expected her to wear a McQueen design as she’s a huge fan and I wasn’t let down with the gorgeous gold embellishments at the halter straps and waistline that captured the black silk draped front and sleek skirt. Anna carried a matching McQueen skill clutch and wore Van Cleef & Arpels jewels.

Maria Menounos was a nice surprise when she arrived for red carpet coverage duty. The TV personality wore a sleek sleeveless black sequined gown from Emanuel Ungaro‘s fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection. It was simple yet dazzling.

English actress Lena Headey wore such an unconventional look tonight and I commend her for it! The “Game of Thrones” actress wore a longsleeve Alessandra Rich black gown which she saved from being dreary by adding a blast of color with hot pink calf hair “Maniac” pumps by Brian Atwood.
