Kat Graham in Michael Costello Couture | New Year’s Eve NIVEA Celebration

WHO: Kat Graham
WHERE & WHEN: New Year’s Eve NIVEA Celebration on December 31, 2013.
WEARING: Michael Costello Couture

MY VERDICT: Kat placed a big kiss on her fiancé Cottrell Guidry at the stroke of midnight when the couple rang in 2014 with NIVEA in Times Square New York City last night. The “Vampire Diaries” star looked beautiful in her strapless Michael Costello Couture sapphire strapless evening gown, which featured a layered ruffle train and a angled bodice. I love the rich bright color against Kat’s complexion, and the styling of her cropped jet tresses looked fabulous and party-ready in retro pin curls. Smoky eyes and a pink glossy pout completed her glam NYE look.

Michelle Pfeiffer in J. Mendel | 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards

I didn’t see Michelle Pfeiffer until halfway through the 2012 Golden Globe Awards telecast last night, but I’m glad I didn’t miss her grand entrance onto the stage to present considering I still can’t find proper photos of it.

This stage shot didn’t do her dark Pre-Fall 2012 gown by J. Mendel justice as she did in movement. | continue reading..

The bright side of taping her co-hosting gig for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2012 bash early was that Fergie could ring in the new year with her husband Josh Duhamel by her side in Las Vegas.

Fergie-Ferg hosted the New Year’s Eve Bash at the premiere of 1 OAK Las Vegas at the Mirage in style! She arrived to the party wearing a gold mirrored strapless cocktail dress from the Autumn/Winter 2011 couture collection by Nicolas Jebran. | continue reading..

Lady Gaga in Atelier Versace & Stéphane Rolland | New Year’s Eve 2012 In Times Square

Lady Gaga danced her way right into 2012 when she performed in Times Square on Saturday night for the televised New Year’s Eve bash. In the final moments of 2011, Gaga joined Mayor Mike Bloomberg to officially drop the crystal ball looking much like the NYE symbol in a Atelier Versace gown. She donned a silver metallic bustier gown with crystal embellished trimmed straps throughout the design and a festive crystal headpiece fascinator — also Versace.

I would have expected nothing less from her; I’m actually thrilled that she wore this dress. Crystal embellished long gloves and matching mega-platform “Daffodil” pumps by Christian Louboutin (not pictured) completed this NYE look.

Just minutes earlier Gaga performed her hits “Marry the Night” and “Born This Way” on the same stage wearing another Versace look! She opened the performance encased in an orb reminiscent of the NYE ball! | continue reading..

Michelle Pfeiffer in Alexander McQueen | “New Year’s Eve” NY Premiere

After selecting an all-purple look for the Los Angeles premiere of “New Year’s Eve” earlier this month, Michelle Pfieffer hit the black carpet at the Ziegfeld Theatre on December 7th in all-black-everything.

Michelle donned a black crepe — nearly ankle-length — fitted trench dress by Alexander McQueen — which she belted at the waist. I like the dress, but it falls at such an awkward length on her. It should have been shortened to hit higher on her fall.

Unlike the LA premiere, I loved her shoes this time around. Michelle wore a pair of studded cutout platform suede sandals by Yves Saint Laurent.

She finished up her look with appropriate NYE glittering metallic accessories. | continue reading..

Lea Michele in Emilio Pucci | “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”

Get ready to ring in the new year a few weeks early! “New Year’s Eve” opens in theaters across the US tonight, but earlier this week one of its stars was a guest on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”.

25-year-old Lea Michele was all smiles while baring some serious leg when she stepped out on the stage in a daring gold and black full lace long-sleeve dress by Emilio Pucci. This itty-bitty mini featured a deep neckline that clasped together at the neck, but it ended really high on Lea’s thigh.

This was one of those ‘don’t bend over’ dresses unless you want to reveal it all. | continue reading..

Abigail Breslin in L’Agence | “New Year’s Eve” NY Premiere

After attending the Monday night premiere of “New Year’s Eve”, 15-year-old Abigail Breslin flew to New York City to attend the black carpet fete for the holiday film last night at the  Ziegfeld Theatre.

Abigail showed off a little leg in an asymmetric draped bodice black sequin long-sleeve dress from the Holiday 2011 collection by L’Agence. This dress was originally seen as a gown in a metallic gunmetal color, but this look is mature enough for her, so I’m glad she didn’t wear that one.

This was a huge departure from the little princess Marchesa dress she wore earlier this week; I feel like the LBD aged Abigail a few years. I would expect to see Zoe Saldana in a dress like this one.

Her honey blonde hair looked stunning in soft cascading curls, but I’m confused on her too-white Judith Leiber clutch and nude platform pumps. They’re so bland with this dress and don’t really compliment each other.

Abigail is wearing jewelry from Kwiat.

Sarah Jessica Parker in Pauline Trigere | “New Year’s Eve” NY Premiere

After attending the launch party for Valentino Garavani’s virtual museum at IAC Headquarters, Sarah Jessica Parker made her way over the Ziegfeld Theatre with her husband Matthew Broderick to walk the black carpet with her co-stars for the premiere of their holiday film “New Year’s Eve”.

Sarah’s black and white ankle-length printed vintage dress by Pauline Trigère from Frock NYC was easily transitional for both events, but part of me wishes she had changed into a show stopper. I liked her dress, but with a distracting print, I felt that she went overboard with the incredibly chunky necklaces and her super long mermaid hair (which was really pretty, by the way).

SJP finished off her look with a pair of blush satin pointed toe pumps by Manolo Blahnik. Her earrings, necklaces, and bracelets were all by Fred Leighton and Fenton.

Matthew was wearing an amazing turquoise tie that really brightened up his black suit. I wish he had saved this for another event where SJP could have complimented him with an equally striking dress of the same or similar hue.

“New Year’s Eve” opens in US theaters this Friday, December 9th.

Jessica Biel in Valentino | “New Year’s Eve” NY Premiere

After the start-studded premiere on Monday night, it was time to ring in the new year in the Big Apple! The Ziegfeld Theatre rolled out the black carpet tonight for the “New Year’s Eve” premiere in New York City, which is only fitting as that’s where the film takes place. What better place to be than NYC for NYE?

Jessica Biel was unable to attend the premiere in Los Angeles, but the 29-year-old actress stepped out with her co-stars to celebrate the film despite the weather — it’s been pouring rain all day.

As I’ve said before, you have to bring the glitz on New Year’s, and while we’re still a few weeks away from 2012, Jessica got started early. She wore a crystal beaded gunmetal gown with a drop waist and long bell sleeves that cuff at the wrist from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Valentino.

I didn’t love it on her, but I also didn’t dislike this dress on Jessica. The shorter length allowed for her to avoid any puddles and show off her pale gold strappy “Anna” sandals by Christian Louboutin, but I really think this look needed to hit the grown.

Jessica’s hair looked thick, healthy and pretty, but I would have loved to have seen some really glamorous curls.

She finished off her look with an ice blue and grey snakeskin clutch and jewelry from Lorraine Schwartz.

Sofia Vergara in Zac Posen | “New Year’s Eve” LA Premiere

The two biggest color trends on the black carpet at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Monday night for the Los Angeles premiere of “New Year’s Eve” was sparkle and… more black.

Sofia Vergara went the darker route for the evening by selecting a silhouette hugging strapless cocktail dress by Zac Posen. I like the little flair of the skirt on her paneled corset dress with lace details.

Sofia’s long luscious chocolate brown hair was gorgeous, as usual, and she highlighted it with long dangling diamond earrings from Jacqueline Nerguizian Fine Jewelry. She also wore a serpent twisting arm cuff bracelet. | continue reading..
