Photos: Zimbio; Versace; (below) Barneys NYI would have expected nothing less from her; I’m actually thrilled that she wore this dress. Crystal embellished long gloves and matching mega-platform “Daffodil” pumps by Christian Louboutin (not pictured) completed this NYE look.
Just minutes earlier Gaga performed her hits “Marry the Night” and “Born This Way” on the same stage wearing another Versace look! She opened the performance encased in an orb reminiscent of the NYE ball! | continue reading..
Photos: Zimbio; Neiman Marcus; (below) Net-a-PorterMichelle donned a black crepe — nearly ankle-length — fitted trench dress by Alexander McQueen — which she belted at the waist. I like the dress, but it falls at such an awkward length on her. It should have been shortened to hit higher on her fall.
Unlike the LA premiere, I loved her shoes this time around. Michelle wore a pair of studded cutout platform suede sandals by Yves Saint Laurent.
She finished up her look with appropriate NYE glittering metallic accessories. | continue reading..
Photos: NBC25-year-old Lea Michele was all smiles while baring some serious leg when she stepped out on the stage in a daring gold and black full lace long-sleeve dress by Emilio Pucci. This itty-bitty mini featured a deep neckline that clasped together at the neck, but it ended really high on Lea’s thigh.
This was one of those ‘don’t bend over’ dresses unless you want to reveal it all. | continue reading..
Photos: Zimbio; LAgenceAbigail showed off a little leg in an asymmetric draped bodice black sequin long-sleeve dress from the Holiday 2011 collection by L’Agence. This dress was originally seen as a gown in a metallic gunmetal color, but this look is mature enough for her, so I’m glad she didn’t wear that one.
This was a huge departure from the little princess Marchesa dress she wore earlier this week; I feel like the LBD aged Abigail a few years. I would expect to see Zoe Saldana in a dress like this one.
Her honey blonde hair looked stunning in soft cascading curls, but I’m confused on her too-white Judith Leiber clutch and nude platform pumps. They’re so bland with this dress and don’t really compliment each other.
Abigail is wearing jewelry from Kwiat.
Photos: ZimbioSarah’s black and white ankle-length printed vintage dress by Pauline Trigère from Frock NYC was easily transitional for both events, but part of me wishes she had changed into a show stopper. I liked her dress, but with a distracting print, I felt that she went overboard with the incredibly chunky necklaces and her super long mermaid hair (which was really pretty, by the way).
SJP finished off her look with a pair of blush satin pointed toe pumps by Manolo Blahnik. Her earrings, necklaces, and bracelets were all by Fred Leighton and Fenton.
Matthew was wearing an amazing turquoise tie that really brightened up his black suit. I wish he had saved this for another event where SJP could have complimented him with an equally striking dress of the same or similar hue.
“New Year’s Eve” opens in US theaters this Friday, December 9th.
Photos: Zimbio; Style.comJessica Biel was unable to attend the premiere in Los Angeles, but the 29-year-old actress stepped out with her co-stars to celebrate the film despite the weather — it’s been pouring rain all day.
As I’ve said before, you have to bring the glitz on New Year’s, and while we’re still a few weeks away from 2012, Jessica got started early. She wore a crystal beaded gunmetal gown with a drop waist and long bell sleeves that cuff at the wrist from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Valentino.
I didn’t love it on her, but I also didn’t dislike this dress on Jessica. The shorter length allowed for her to avoid any puddles and show off her pale gold strappy “Anna” sandals by Christian Louboutin, but I really think this look needed to hit the grown.
Jessica’s hair looked thick, healthy and pretty, but I would have loved to have seen some really glamorous curls.
She finished off her look with an ice blue and grey snakeskin clutch and jewelry from Lorraine Schwartz.
Photos: Zimbio; (below) Christian LouboutinSofia Vergara went the darker route for the evening by selecting a silhouette hugging strapless cocktail dress by Zac Posen. I like the little flair of the skirt on her paneled corset dress with lace details.
Sofia’s long luscious chocolate brown hair was gorgeous, as usual, and she highlighted it with long dangling diamond earrings from Jacqueline Nerguizian Fine Jewelry. She also wore a serpent twisting arm cuff bracelet. | continue reading..
Photos: ZimbioThe 33-year-old actress arrived at the Los Angeles premiere of the holiday flick on Monday night wearing crystal bow d’orsay gold satin peep toe pumps by Valentino. The metallic color and little bit of sparkle was the ideal style to go for when attending a premiere about the biggest party of the year!
Katie kept it going with a matching glittering tube clutch by Jimmy Choo and gorgeous vintage jewelry. With diamond studs in her ears, Katie wore a stunning gold and ecru rose necklace. | continue reading..
