MY VERDICT: Stana added fuel to my jumpsuit obsession at the Billboard Music Awards when she rocked the red blue carpet in a sleeveless one piece by Nicholas Oakwell Couture. The “CBGB” star opted for a white jumpsuit with silver beaded detailing, a mirrored honeycomb belt–and a daring plunging neckline. This non-presented look comes from the designer’s Spring 2013 line.

Considering such a form fitting top, I love how the pants are tailored with a bit of a wide leg. It creates a cool balance, and almost makes it seem laid back despite how glamorous it truly is. This jumpsuit flawlessly fit Stana like a glove.

It also inspired me to hit the gym immediately. I mean, seriously.

Stana accessorized with diamond and emerald jewels from Vhernier, before completing her look with intense black lined eyes, a glossy nude pout, a dark green manicure, and voluminous shoulder length curls. What do you think of her shorter locks?

MY VERDICT: Despite a plethora of glamorous and unique gowns at the MET gala, one of my favorite looks this week popped up on Katie Aselton at a Hollywood screening for “Black Rock”. The 34-year-old actress not only stars in the thriller alongside Kate Bosworth and Lake Bell–she directed it as well.

Back to the outfit. Katie rocked a pretty Wes Gordon olive silk georgette draped wrap blouse and a cool navy ink foil calfskin pencil skirt, from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection. | continue reading..

WHERE & WHEN: 1st Annual Radio Disney Music Awards, held on April 27, 2013.
WEARING: Vince top, Blumarine skirt & Nicholas Kirkwood shoes.

MY VERDICT: After showing off a sexier side at the MTV Movie Awards earlier this month, Selena kept it a bit more PG when she attended the first annual Radio Disney Music Awards in a black and white printed draped Blumarine mini skirt, from the Fall 2013 collection, with pops of pink and orange.

The “Come and Get It” singer clearly took inspiration from the way it was styled on the runway by tucking in a short sleeve black leather top by Vince. Although the top could have fit better and the skirt needed to be righted, | continue reading..

WHO: Rashida Jones
WHERE & WHEN: 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards on February 23, 2013.

MY VERDICT: Rashida did a great job straddling the line between the winter blues and spring florals when she attended the Indie Spirits, but perhaps that’s because she turned to the new Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2013 collection for their outfit.  The “Parks and Recreation” star wore a short sleeve navy blouse and matching a-line skirt with scattered big and bold floral detail in shimmering turquoise and leaf green. I really love the colors and the pattern, but I’m not thrilled with the oversize sleeves.

That being said, I like that Rashida pulled the skirt up higher for more of a flattering fit at the leg. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Olivia struck a sultry pose as she hosted the launch of the new Revlon Luxurious ColorSilk Buttercream line wearing the sexiest little black leather and lace dress from Talbot Runhof.  The “People Like Us” actress selected the knee length cocktail dress with a v-neck and short sleeves from the Resort 2013 collection.  You may remember seeing this design pop up on one of my wish lists, so you can best believe I’ve been a fan of it for awhile.  I think Olivia looks fabulous in the sleek silhouette, and I’m glad she left her layered locks in softly swept waves to keep the dress as the focal point—well, other than her pretty face. | continue reading..

WHERE & WHEN: “Side Effects” New York premiere on January 31, 2013.

MY VERDICT: Rooney rocked a brand new look from Alexander McQueen when she attended the New York premiere of her new movie “Side Effects”.  The 27-year-old actress selected the long sleeve layered white dress from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection with all-over lace embroidered panels, including heavier 3D detail at the shoulders.  I see that Rooney wanted to keep the look soft, and therefore she opted out of the black belt and matching shoes, however I do wish she had worn a much more interesting shoe than her neutral Nicholas Kirkwood pumps.  It’s not so much the nude color that’s boring me as it is the open toe slingback. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Kate supported her sister Rooney’s new movie “Side Effects”, and hit the red carpet for the New York premiere.  The 30-year-old actress kept her look pretty low-key as she opted for a ruffled hem LBD by Givenchy with a dropped waist and cap sleeves. Although the mini dress never made it down the catwalk, you can find it available at Barneys New York.  Kate wore her long brunette tresses out in loose waves before simply completing her look with soft makeup, a pair of white-swirl embroidered black suede island platform pumps by Nicholas Kirkwood, and a metallic deco clutch from Judith Leiber.  Simple and sweet. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: It was apparently hard to pry Nicole and fellow Aussie actor Naomi from each other on the scarlet red carpet at the Producers Guild Awards.  The blonde beauties also pulled a “twinsie look” with their matching head-to-toe black outfits, full wavy tresses and neutral makeup palette.

Nicole stuck by her go-to L’Wren Scott for her full-length lace embroidered cap sleeve gown, which looked beautiful on her, while Naomi turned to Victoria Beckham‘s Spring 2013 collection for her look.  The star of “The Impossible” rocked a pencil sheath with mesh panels at the bodice before finishing with the celeb-favorite Rupert Sanderson “Elba” pumps.

I think both ladies pulled off equally complimenting, different, and flattering looks. I wonder if they planned this…

WHO: Naomi Watts
WHERE & WHEN: 18th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on January 10, 2013.

MY VERDICT: When I first saw Naomi hit the red carpet, I knew there was something strikingly familiar about her black strapless silk cady dress with a mesh v-neck inset at the bust.  Then I remembered Natasha Poly had worn the same dress at the Cannes Film Festival last year! It was actually one of my favorite dresses at the festival that month.

Anyway, this sexy design comes from the Resort 2013 collection by Emilio Pucci, and although Natasha’s had a flowing train and it worked for her look, I happen to like the sleeker cut on Naomi with the side slit to show off her cool Nicholas Kirkwood graphic sandals.  | continue reading..
