WHERE & WHEN: “Thanks For Sharing” Hollywood Premiere on September 16, 2013.
WEARING: Lanvin dress, Nicholas Kirkwood shoes
MY VERDICT: Nicole looked gorgeous in teal when she hit the red carpet for the HFPA luncheon yesterday afternoon. The “Paperboy” actress wore the blueish-green pencil cut dress by Narciso Rodriguez, which featured a long sleeve and halterneck vibe courtesy of cutout detail at the shoulders.
I really like how the color of the dress played off of Nicole’s strawberry ginger curls and mint drop earrings. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Just when I thought she was going to break out something black, white, or super bright, Selena arrived for the 2013 Teen Choice Awards wearing one of my favorite colors—for autumn! The “Slow Down” singer selected Cushnie et Ochs cap sleeve mid-length cocktail dress from the Fall/Winter 2013 collection in a stunning shade of hunter green with cutouts at the shoulders and double front slits in the skirt. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Margot looked beautiful in white lace when she hit the red carpet last night for the London premiere of “About Time”. The 23-year-old Australian beauty selected a floral embroidered floor length cap sleeve gown from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection by Ermanno Scervino.
I love the delicate lace and fringed detail along her waist. I’m may not always be a big fan of the mullet style, but I tend to like the short dress with a full length overlay. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: After parting ways with her “Catching Fire” cast-mates, Jennifer made a quick wardrobe change out of her crop top and skirt before joining her crew at the “X-Men: Days of Future Past” panel. The 22-year-old actress, who reprises her role as Mystique in the latest installment of the hit series, wore a long sleeve optic white and cream Alexander McQueen dress with a frayed wrapped design that had a ‘mummy-inspired’ appearance.
If you didn’t notice that before—oops, sorry. You probably can’t unsee it now. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Jennifer made her Comic-Con debut when she and her cast-mates from “The Hunger Games” arrived for a panel to promote “Catching Fire”, the second installment in the series. I was kind of joking when I initially pointed out the black-and-white fashion trend this year, but I obviously hit the nail on the head because Jen was the latest star to sport the combo.
The 22-year-old selected a Proenza Schouler short sleeved crop tee with a striped tribal pattern that was paired with a white wrapped skirt, both from the Resort 2014 collection. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: A t-shirt cocktail dress? Yes, Kristen Wiig, yes. The 39-year-old actress stepped out for the New York City screening of her new movie “Girl Most Likely” last night wearing a summertime alternative to the LBD with a short sleeve silver-white Viktor & Rolf dress, from the Resort 2014 collection, that featured an adorable scallop trim bib. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Stana added fuel to my jumpsuit obsession at the Billboard Music Awards when she rocked the
red blue carpet in a sleeveless one piece by Nicholas Oakwell Couture. The “CBGB” star opted for a white jumpsuit with silver beaded detailing, a mirrored honeycomb belt–and a daring plunging neckline. This non-presented look comes from the designer’s Spring 2013 line.
Considering such a form fitting top, I love how the pants are tailored with a bit of a wide leg. It creates a cool balance, and almost makes it seem laid back despite how glamorous it truly is. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Despite a plethora of glamorous and unique gowns at the MET gala, one of my favorite looks this week popped up on Katie Aselton at a Hollywood screening for “Black Rock”. The 34-year-old actress not only stars in the thriller alongside Kate Bosworth and Lake Bell–she directed it as well.
Back to the outfit. Katie rocked a pretty Wes Gordon olive silk georgette draped wrap blouse and a cool navy ink foil calfskin pencil skirt, from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection. | continue reading..
