MY VERDICT:  Lucy added a splash of color to her white and black palette when she attended the Kids’ Choice Awards.  The “Pretty Little Liars” star stepped out on the purple carpet wearing a button-down sleeveless fit-and-flare cotton collared dress from Christian Dior.  Lucy belted the Resort 2013 design with a skinny black leather accent to match her ankle strapped platform “Zenith” suede pumps by Brian Atwood, but it was the fuchsia crocodile box clutch by Nancy Gonzalez that really made the look pop.  | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Lily was sporting something I definitely didn’t get enough of on the Academy Awards red carpet—bold color!   The “Mortal Instruments” star was one the colorful highlights of my Oscar night in her glittering violet beaded Zuhair Murad gown, from the Fall/Winter 2012 Couture collection.  The long sleeve, body-hugging design displayed a delicate illusion lace embroidered bodice with a fearless striped skirt that fit Lily’s slim figure flawlessly.

MY VERDICT: Lily made quite the dramatic grand arrival at the Costume Designers Guild Awards this year when she stepped out in a sleek black silk-crepe gown from the Black Carpet 2013 collection by Paule Ka.  The sleeveless floor-length dress simply fell down her lithe figure and featured a sexy plunging v-neck with a low dipped cutout back that was adorned by a large ivory bow embellishment.  In this case, Lily’s exit was just as eye-popping as her entrance.  I found it quite fitting to celebrate a night of creative design.  The “Mortal Instruments” star completed her look with an assortment of 18k white gold and diamond jewelry, a wavy mane, and fiery red lips that matched her manicure. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Julianne made a smart wardrobe decision, which probably kept her comfortable in the constant winter weather change in New York City this week.  The 24-year-old attended a screening of “Safe Haven” hosted by SELF Magazine, which she covers this month, wearing a Georges Hobeika dove grey floral embroidered cocktail dress layered over matching straight-leg trousers.  This ensemble comes from the designer’s gorgeous new Spring/Summer 2013 Haute Couture collection.  Julianne coordinated with the soft metallic by wearing trendy silver Giuseppe Zanotti pumps.  Flattering makeup, angled wavy tresses, and jewelry from Norman Silverman–including diamond studs–completed her look. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: How stunning was Katy last night as she attended the Clive Davis party?  The 28-year-old singer looked beautiful in a sparkling pearl embellished long sleeve gown by Rafael Cennamo.  The dress was literally dripping pearls and crystal beading!  I don’t often see Katy in such a light color, but the cream-colored dress looked lovely against her warm complexion and black sculpted tresses.  It was such an ethereal moment for her.  What I really love about this dress is the fact that the pearls aren’t heavy throughout; they fall in a gradient effect with the larger details starting at the boatneck before fading below the waist. | continue reading..

Busy Philipps proudly displayed her growing belly in a custom made Gabriela Cadena navy blue long sleeve silk dress.  The “Cougar Town” actress, who recently announced her second pregnancy added some boldness to her look with a colorful one-of-a-kind Irene Neuwirth statement necklace and a matching embellished clutch by Judith Leiber.  A scarlet red lip, gathered mane and Brian Atwood “Stearling” shoes were the finishing touches.

Alexis Bledel like Jessica Pare, the 31-year-old actress also opted to wear a brilliant shade of emerald green at the SAGs this year. I love the color and pleated detailing of her structured Rena Lange dress, and the way her beautiful vintage House of Lavende colorful crystal necklace sat amongst the deep v-neckline. MY VERDICT: I think Ashley looked so sweet last night at the premiere in her sleeveless Philip Armstrong cocktail dress. The fit-and-flare silhouette was young and fun, while the cream lace bodice added some sophistication to the colorblock style.  I really like how she got playful with her shoes and opted for funky black strappy platform “Temptress” sandals by Walter Steiger, which featured the signature curved heel.  I’m obsessed with that heel!  It’s a subtle detail, and I don’t know if it was intentional, but the shape of her shoe actually complimented her hairstyle—a heightened ponytail!  She polished her ‘do off with a black leather headband by Jennifer Behr.  With a glamorous smoky eye and nude pout makeup palette, Ash completed her look with a Lauren Merkin “Lucca” clutch in black suede with patent leather trim and Norman Silverman 18k white gold and black diamond stud earrings that are surrounded in pave diamonds. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: It’s been two days and I still can’t get over how fabulous Brittany looked at the People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday night. The “Pitch Perfect” actress wore a beautiful sunny yellow “Zoe” dress from the Spring 2013 collection by Maria Lucia Hohan. This plunging neck design featured gathering at the waist and cutout detail at the side; all of the cutaway openings were filled with MLH’s signature tulle illusion fabric. MY VERDICT: Clea opted for a bright white gown at the CCMAs last night.  The “Argo” actress looked beautiful in her ivory chiffon gown by Tadashi Shoji.  This Spring 2013 daring design features a plunging neckline and cutout details along the front and side.  I really liked the style on the runway, but with the lining hidden much more, I believe that it transformed into something even more beautiful on the red carpet.  Clea up-do was appreciated and I liked her subtle smoky eyes and delicate diamond stud earrings by Norman Silverman.  Additionally, Clea wore a IritDesign diamond ring to match. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Julianne left me starry eyed and mesmerized when she debuted her Tony Ward Couture Fall 2012 cocktail dress on the red carpet last night.  This midnight blue creation was delicately embroidered with a plethora of dazzling shaded tone sequins in a ombré effect of silver and blues.
