MY VERDICT: I’m guessing that carrying around all that extra heavy fabric can only be fun for so long until it becomes tedious. Shortly following the Academy Awards, Olivia slipped into something much more sleek when she attended the annual post-Oscar bash hosted by Vanity Fair.  The “Newsroom” actress stepped out wearing a slinky beaded pink floor-length dress from the Atelier Versace Fall 2013 collection with cutout detail on the sides, double straps and a sexy high slit to show off her platform Versace sandals.  I definitely prefer this one on Miss Munn more; she seemed much more comfortable and it fit her better than the previous creation.  Smoky eyes, smoky eyes and a swept back ‘do completed her look.

MY VERDICT: I can thank Olivia for bringing my favorite Marchesa Fall 2013 gown to the Oscars.  I knew this beautifully crafted dress couldn’t be missing from the Academy Awards red carpet, and although I was pretty excited to see it there, I was equal parts bummed out that it wasn’t on the lady I wished it for.  The elegant embroidered bust was ill-fitting on Olivia, and for me, that put a damper on the whole thing.  I actually preferred the pictures of her from behind because at least the original design didn’t look disrupted from that angle.

Olivia finished off her look with red lips, a swept up ‘do and coordinating gold jewelry.

Olivia Munn sparkled in gold when she hit the red carpet on Wednesday evening for the 2012 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards. The “Newsroom” actress wore a figure-flaunting gown by Temperley London with metallic ombré sequin-embellishments in a chevron pattern that fell into a sheer white lightly pleated hemline.

I like the color against Olivia’s tan complexion and the balance of shimmering accents; she didn’t go overboard–which is good. Olivia wore a pair of Asprey diamond earrings that peeked out from her wavy chignon hairstyle. | continue reading..

Olivia Munn ‘let it all hang out’ on Sunday night when she arrived to celebrate the Emmys at HBO’s annual post reception held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.

The 32-year-old actress wore a one-of-a-kind black satin dress from Armani Privé that fell at the ankles and featured a plunging, wide neckline. Although it included a mesh inset to hold the dress together, nothing could really hide the nearly full view of Olivia’s cleavage. Umm… was it too much?

Olivia completed her party look with sleek tresses, Giorgio Armani black bow appliqué peep toe pumps, a crystal-encrusted Judith Leiber clutch and jewelry from Neil Lane — including a 20kt platinum and diamond necklace.

HATE IT or LOVE IT?

I really loved Olivia Munn’s outfit at Entertainment Weekly’s pre-Emmy party on Friday.

Last night the stars from film, music and the catwalk hit the red carpet at the Royal Opera House for the 2012 GQ Men of the Year Awards to celebrate some of the finest men of the last year. Among the honorees were Dolce & Gabbana‘s Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for Designer of the Year, Aaron Sorkin for Writer of the Year, Tinie Tempah for Solo Artist of the Year, and of course, the Team Great Britain Olympians!

The Fashion Court caught you up with some of the hottest dresses from your favorite stars on the blue carpet for the 2012 Do Something Awards, hosted by DoSomething.Org and VH1 in Hollywood. But, there were a few other note-worthy looks that I didn’t want to go unnoticed.

Let’s break them down here, shall we?

Ellie Kemper looked so cute when she arrived for the awards ceremony in this printed a-line party dress. The “21 Jump Street” actress selected a gold metallic cocktail dress  by Rafael Cennamo, from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection, which featured navy blue detailing, especially at the banded waist. Ellie wore her red hair in loosely sculpted waves before finishing off her look with a red pout and sassy navy strappy sandals.

Bella Thorne‘s hair just keeps getting lighter and lighter! I’ve always been a fan of the rich red hair on  the “Shake It Up” starlet, but this pale shade is a bit lackluster against her fair complexion. It doesn’t help that her nude lace BCBGMAXAZRIA dress does nothing to add some lively color to her overall ensemble. She’s only fourteen though, so Bella totally gets away with playing with her party frock by updating it with a jewel-embellished belt and spike-embellished python printed ankle booties. | continue reading..

On Sunday night, MaxMara threw a cocktail party honoring the 2012 Women in Film: Face Of The Future fête at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood, California.

Some of the hottest ladies from the silver screen to your television screen came out to celebrate the evening in style, wearing looks from the MaxMara and Sportmax collections.

Maggie Grace has a new television show called “The Following” debuting this fall, where she stars opposite Kevin Bacon, as well as a large role as a vengeful vampire in the final installment of the “Twilight” franchise, “Breaking Dawn – Part 2″. The 28-year-old arrived in a blush organza halterneck dress that she complimented with champagne satin accessories, including her evening clutch and open toe pumps.
