MY VERDICT: After rocking a playful aqua short suit on the purple carpet, Carrie was back in her signature a-line silhouette for her beautiful CMT Music Awards performance of “See You Again”. MY VERDICT: Carey Mulligan may have opted for a softer shade at the premiere of “The Great Gatsby”, but her co-star made an attempt to spice up the red carpet in a gown to match. Isla attended the opening ceremony gala wearing an Oscar de la Renta carnation bouquet lace sweetheart gown with a full ruffled skirt. A similar style was presented during the Bridal 2014 collection by the designer. The dress is fun and it fits Isla very well, but while I don’t dislike it, I guess I was just expecting something really unique and memorable for this particular event. I feel like different versions of this dress have been worn too many times.

Frankly, if it even carried the same full shape of the Bridal line design pictured above, it would have made a bigger impact.

Isla styled her hair in celebrity-favorite cascading waves before finishing her look with gold jewelry from Bulgari. In fact, I think my favorite part of this whole outfit would that stunning 18kt yellow gold statement necklace that’s filled with blue topazes, amethysts, green tourmalines, peridots, citrine quartz, rhodolite garnets and pavé diamonds. Simply breathtaking.

MY VERDICT: Nicole looked radiant as she walked the salmon carpet for the Omega Gala “La Nuit Enchantee” in Austria. The “Grace of Monaco” actress sparkled in a Oscar de la Renta nude tulle gown with black bead embroidery, from Mr. de la Renta’s recently debuted Fall 2013 collection. I love the illusion the design gives off, without actually being see-through. Accessorizing with a classic black box clutch and gold jewelry, Nicole simply polished off her look with soft, subtle makeup and perfectly curled strawberry-golden tresses.

MY VERDICT: As if I couldn’t be more excited for spring weather to finally arrive and this 38 degree craziness to disappear, Selena just had to wear this adorable Oscar de la Renta outfit to the Kids’ Choice Awards!  The “Spring Breakers” starlet was thinking along the same lines as Kristen Stewart and opted for comfortable, yet dressed up, shorts.  Selena selected a pretty pale turquoise silk gazar peplum top with white textured cotton linen shorts from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection.  A similar embellished pink ensemble was seen on the runway as well as a white version of her top.

MY VERDICT: Amy made quite the grand Oscar entrance in her custom silver-grey strapless ball gown by Oscar de la Renta.  The full length dress was made up of an organza bodice embellished with beaded detail, and a tiered frayed organza and tulle skirt.  I think the actual design is a knock out, but what was up with all of the really light colors this year?  When I first saw the arrival photos of Amy, I wasn’t a fan of the shade at all—but, it grew on me a bit.  Although, I would have preferred a emerald or eggplant, I think the “Master” actress was definitely have a bit of “a Cinderella moment”.

With her long hair swept up into an elegant ‘do, Amy completed her look with complimenting makeup, and gold long diamond statement earrings to match her bracelets and ring.

MY VERDICT: While Helen Hunt donned a strapless platinum gown, Jennifer turned to a shimmering gold.  The 40-year-old actress, who was in attendance to support her husband Ben Affleck and his film “Argo”, wore a gorgeous giupure lace and sequin embroidered Oscar de la Renta column gown, from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection.  It’s official, Jen is two for two because she, once again, hit a home run.  I love the color, embellishments, silhouette—everything.  She kept the accessories as minimal as possible since her dress was so bold, but made sure to include a gold diamond chain link David Webb bracelet and a complimenting clutch. MY VERDICT: After taking a little break two weeks ago, Tina returned to her go-to designer Oscar de la Renta for her SAG Awards dress.  The 42-year-old actress won big for her role on “30 Rock” while donned in a black stretch crepe gown from the Spring 2013 runway collection; this slim silhouette features a sweetheart neckline, delicate pleating midway, and a silver patent belt with a crystal buckle.  I like the Hollywood throwback Tina did with those retro side-parted curls.  With subtle flattering makeup, Tina put the finishing touches on her look with Mr. de la Renta’s silver crystal and macro bugle bead embroidered “Goa” minaudière.
