MY VERDICT: Kerry wore a beautiful bright red gown last night at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.  The “Argo” actress arrived at Barker Hangar wearing a vibrant red silk chiffon evening gown by Pamella Roland. Without the long sleeves this would be a lovely gathered sweetheart gown, but there’s something about silhouette Pamella designed with the sheer sleeves being pulled into a v-neck that I just love so much.  It creates a look that we’re not using to seeing, which is always nice.

Kerry wore her ginger hair in loose ringlets before completing her look with black pumps and a Swarovski black “Power” clutch that matched her dress due to the red and raspberry crystal encrusted leopard pattern.

 

Keke Palmer looked fabulous in a pumped up purple cocktail dress when she hit the red carpet last weekend to attend the UNCF’s 33rd annual An Evening with the Stars at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

The 19-year-old actress wore a Pamella Roland plum and black jacquard mock-neck dress with drop-waist full skirt.  This sassy straight-from-the-runway design comes from Roland’s beloved Fall/Winter 2012 collection.  I adore the rich and regal color on Keke, and I’m glad she didn’t distract from the neckline design by leaving her hair out.

She loosely swept it up for a sweet ‘undone’ look.

Keke’s makeup artist gave her slightly sultry smoky eyes using greys and plums, which balanced out with her peach tinged cheeks and nude lips.  She accessorized with a black clutch and pointed toe wedge pumps that brought out the detail in her dress, before finishing off with onyx-black and diamond jewelry.  I really liked this look on her!  The shape of the dress was great for her height and frame, and all of the accessories worked as a perfect unit.

You’ve become more than acquainted with the cast members of the “Twilight” saga over the years, but with a power-house finale film like “Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ where we’re introduced to an army of new on-screen vampires to love—let’s just say the black carpet at the Hollywood premiere last week was jam packed!  Amongst the attendees at the star-studded celebration were several new faces, old friends and beloved directors of the past.

Let’s break down some of the looks a few vamped up ladies were rocking that night!

Mía Maestro, who stars as the vampy Carmen, looked beautiful in black silk strapless column gown by Gucci with a black velvet and metallic gold floral embellishment at the belted waist.  This design is very reminiscent of a white dress presented with the Resort 2012 collection.  Mia wore her long brunette curls up in a glamorous woven up ‘do before completely her look with sultry smoky eyes, gold jewelry and a metallic box minaudière.

Tracey Heggins was a vision in red! Rocking her swept pixie haircut, the on-screen vampire looked full of life in a strapless scarlet red gown by Kevan Hall.  Tracey lathered her lips with a ruby lipstick before completing her look with darker accessories.  She wore black pointed toe pumps, carried a BCBGMAXAZRIA clutch and topped it all off with a metallic Tory Burch wide cuff.

Sarah Clarke stars as Kristen Stewart‘s on-screen mother in the franchise, but this mama shined on her own in a sparkling Pamella Roland dress.  | continue reading..

Christina Aguilera stepped out on the scarlet red carpet last night for the 2012 American Music Awards and, thankfully, covered up her unicorn colorful tresses with a shorter platinum blonde Cleopatra ‘do with blunt bangs that she ended up extending for her performance during the ceremony.

Part of the reason I’m so glad that the “Lotus” singer changed up her hair for the night is due to the heavily ombré gown she selected to wear. Christina flaunted her curves in a pretty silk chiffon halter gown by Pamella Roland with various fading shades of lavender.  Darker tones floated throughout the waist for a slimming effect that a rise-and-fall gathering contributed to.  This design would have been too competitive with her latest ‘do. | continue reading..

Wow, Kellie Pickler looked pretty amazing in Nashville tonight when she stepped out for the 46th annual CMA Awards wearing an ice blue dress that popped against her tan complexion and strawberry-blonde hair.

The 26-year-old singer, who recently buzzed off her hair in support of her best friend that’s fighting Cancer, was sporting a bit of a spiky pixie ‘do as she glided down the red carpet at the Bridgestone Arena wearing a strapless beaded bodice and satin chiffon gown by Pamella Roland, from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection. | continue reading..

Morena Baccarin: The “Homeland” actress rocked a plunging neck strapless grey dress with pleating at the bust and hips. I thought she pushed the risk of a “wardrobe malfunction”, but thankfully Morena had an illusion inset within the v-neck opening. Red lips, bold diamond jewelry and a pewter minaudière were the finishing touches to Morena’s Emmys look.

Glenn Close: After completely falling in love with Glenn’s look at the Oscars this year, I was excited to see what she would wear to the Emmys. The “Damages” actress wore a Bibhu Mohapatra printed long-sleeve mermaid gown with black sheer draped panels at the skirt and all over sharp details layered throughout the rest. I may have felt differently about the dress on someone else, but it did absolutely nothing for me on Glenn. She accessorized with a pair of satin “Anya” sandals by Dana Davis.

Gretchen Mol: Unless you’re wearing black (or black-and-white), you run a risk wearing a monochrome look on the red carpet. At least if it’s all the same shade of one color. I’m surprised with how much I loved what Gretchen wore. | continue reading..

Jane Levy looked beautiful in bold blue when she stepped out on the scarlet rug last night for the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards.

The nominated “Suburgatory” actress wore a lovely cobalt blue silk chiffon gown from the Resort 2013 collection by Pamella Roland, which featured a pleated bodice, patent leather belt and convertible sleeves.
