I’ve really been enjoying Nieves Alvarez’s style on the Spanish television program “Solo Moda” lately. So far, we’ve seen her in brightly colored ruffled dresses and gorgeous mosaic embroidered designs, but third time is the charm and I’m sort of obsessed with her outfits from Friday night’s show.

For her first look, Nieves wore a super hot, super edgy — and a super short dress from the Fall 2012 Frankie Morello collection.

I definitely prefer the bright pink and gold studs that she wore over the black version from the catwalk, but both of the long sleeve dresses are fabulous. I kind of wish she had worn the long white under-layer because the dress is so short, but I don’t really like the white strip, so maybe I’m just more in favor of the dress being two inches longer. | continue reading..

Nieves Alvarez hit the “Solo Moda” stage once again last night in another round of fun dresses — straight from the runway!

The Spanish model selected a yellow organza ruffled dress from the Fall 2012 collection by Moschino Cheap & Chic for her first look. I love the way the ruffles travel and gather down the front of her skirt rather than stopping at the neckline as it did on the catwalk. Nieves Alvarez stepped out on the white carpet on Monday night for the 10th anniversary celebration of Glamour Magazine in Madrid wearing Giambattista Valli.

The Spanish model flaunted her flawless figured in a gorgeous sleeveless black dress from the Spring 2012 haute couture collection, which featured full embroidery on the bodice and a gathered lace tulip skirt.

I normally prefer Ashley Greene’s red carpet looks to her street wear, but she’s changing my mind with one outfit. Ashley stepped out at Shape Magazine’s Pilates for Pink afternoon event in New York City on October 2nd and took her cool casual look out on the town afterwards.

I’m kind of obsessed with Ashley’s look of the day because it’s the type of wardrobe pieces I always stock up on for fall. Leggings are dependable and comfortable — the best at getting into really tall boots. Ashley wore a soft black pair of wool/cashmere knit “Carmen” leggings by Aiko which she slipped into a pair of suede “Farah” boots by Via Spiga. Wedge boots like Ashley’s are the most comfortable heel you can wear for long periods of walking, which is inevitable in NYC.

Ashley wore a ridiculously awesome cashmere “Kwan” heather grey sweatshirt also by Aiko which features leather strip details on each arm. Leather sleeves is quite in trend — Elizabeth and James, Stella McCartney, MASON by Michelle Mason, Free People, and Generation Love have also created sweaters in this style. Leather adds a little edge to any look, and I love a “not-so-basic” sweater.
