MY VERDICT: It was a bit strange to see Charlotte out of her go-to Balenciaga threads at the Cesar Film Awards this year, but at the same time, I can’t possibly be bummed about her other tastes in designer wear. Charlotte rocked a little head-to-toe Anthony Vaccarello; a military blouse partnered with a metallic wrapped mini skirt, and strappy black wedges from this Spring/Summer 2013 collection. I love the idea of an oversize top loosely tucked into a little fitted skirt, so needless to say–I’m into the outfit. Was this the best choice for Charlotte? That’s debatable. Man, I wish the neckline was straight.

WHO: Marion Cotillard
WHERE & WHEN: Cesar Film Awards 2013 in Paris, France on February 22, 2013.
WEARING: Christian Dior Haute Couture

MY VERDICT: Marion opted for Christian Dior Haute Couture when she attended the Cesar Film Awards this year. Surprise, surprise. The beautiful French actress got glamorous in the Spring 2013 tea-length embroidered striped black and powder satin and organza evening dress. I like it, it wasn’t my favorite look of Marion’s this awards season, but her twinkling jewelry and those embellished pumps were nice touches, and this is Marion–she always looks good.

Unfortunately Marion needed to hike the dress up a few inches, and her perfectly rolled up ‘do was damaged from, what I’m assuming was, bad weather. The pulled curls on her left side are very noticeable–or maybe I’m just totally distracted.

WHO: Bérénice Bejo
WHERE & WHEN: Cesar Film Awards 2013 in Paris, France on February 22, 2013.
WEARING: Giambattista Valli Haute Couture

MY VERDICT: Berenice didn’t hold back when she picked her gown for the annual Cesar Film Awards. The French actress glided down the red carpet wearing an emerald green silk-chiffon floral gown from the Fall 2012 Haute Couture collection by Giambattista Valli. This design features 3D petal embroidery along the neck and down the three-quarter length sleeves, and is topped off with a gold leaf belt. Okay, the dress is a work of art–no doubt–but, it seems like it’s weighing Berenice down. Furthermore, I’m perplexed as to why she wore her hair out in curls that just compete with those embellishments, and what’s up with the fuchsia satin clutch? This was the time for a gold bag. Nit-picky or not, I’m also a bit bummed that her belt was so scrunched up. As you can tell, this was clearly not my favorite fashion moment from her.

WHO: Rachel Korine
WHERE & WHEN: “Spring Breakers” Paris premiere on February 18, 2013.
WEARING: Dolce & Gabbana

MY VERDICT: Rachel kept her look at the “Spring Breakers” French premiere unembellished, uncomplicated, and pretty classic when she opted for a lilac lace strapless cocktail dress by Dolce & Gabbana. It’s fairly certain that you’ve seen this dress on many celebrities from time to time, but it’s one of those go-to silhouettes that seem to flatter the curves of a woman like a dream—therefore it’s kind of obvious as to why it’s so popular. Rachel lengthened her leg by slipping into pointed toe black pumps before completing her look with bright red matte lips, and an elegant chignon with swept bangs. I know a scarlet pout can usually go with everything, but I’m not a big fan of it with this particular hue of purple-pink.

WHERE & WHEN: “Spring Breakers” Paris premiere on February 18, 2013.
WEARING: Rafael Cennamo dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes & Sutra jewelry.

MY VERDICT: It was mixture of personalities when it came to the fashion at the French premiere of “Spring Breakers”; while Selena Gomez kept it playful and Ashley Benson opted for sexy drama, Vanessa stepped out for the big night with a very girlie look. The 24-year-old actress wore a strapless pale pink tea-length cocktail dress from the Spring 2013 collection by Rafael Cennamo which featured black beaded rose embroidery along the bust and scattered at the top of the overwhelming full skirt. I personally prefer the floor-length silver and coral version on the model with the wide silver belt, but that length and added accessory would have been even heavier on Vanessa’s petite figure. | continue reading..

WHERE & WHEN: “Spring Breakers” Paris premiere on February 18, 2013.
WEARING: AMIT GT

MY VERDICT: Ashley added some sexy glamour to the dark red carpet when she joined her costars Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez and Rachel Korine for the French premiere of “Spring Breakers” wearing a black gown from AMIT GT Privé. The 23-year-old actress stepped out in the black silk mermaid design from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection, which features a full skirt, all-over sparkling black beading, cutout straps at the shoulders, and a sultry keyhole opening at the chest to show off a bit of cleavage. Ashley wore her long blonde hair out in cascading shiny loose curls before completing the look with intense dark lined eyes. I like that she wore her hair out, but part of me is bummed that she covered up those shoulders.

WHERE & WHEN: “Spring Breakers” Paris premiere on February 18, 2013.
WEARING: Gucci dress, Jimmy Choo shoes & Melinda Maria jewelry.

MY VERDICT: Selena got sassy in bright blue when she rocked the French premiere of her new movie “Spring Breakers” wearing an ultra-short paillette embroidered dress by Gucci. The sultry mini featured sexy plunging cutout sides along with a voluminous, intricate fanned collar with beaded embellishments. I like the way Sel highlighted the metallic elements with a pair of sleek strappy Jimmy Choo gold and silver “Vivian” sandals. The dress was already heavily detailed, so I’m glad she didn’t go overboard with any accessories, or too much going on with her hair. Selena completed her look with a fun twisted up-do and dramatic dark blue smoky eyes. I think she looked great, but either it’s the lightning or she had on too much face powder. | continue reading..

WHO: Anne Hathaway
WHERE & WHEN:  ”Les Misèrables” French premiere on February 6, 2013.
WEARING: Prada

MY VERDICT: Just when you thought the press tour for “Les Misérables” was over, Anne took a break from the awards season circuit to pop back on the promo trail tonight with the French premiere.  The fair skinned, pixie-cut sporting Oscar nominee stepped out wearing a bright fuchsia double faced strapless column gown by Prada, which features gorgeous red crystal embellishing along the top.  This reminds me a bit of what Jessica Chastain wore last month at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.  I love the detailing and this sleek silhouette on Anne’s svelte frame, but the actual overall look wasn’t really a stand out moment. I feel like the crystals need to make another appearance, maybe with faux slanted pockets at the hips or an equally subtle incorporation.  It’s just missing ‘something’—and those pintucks under her bust are kind of weird.

Now, although this wasn’t a “flop”, I’m still waiting for her to really rock the carpet like she did at the Golden Globes.

WHERE & WHEN: “Django Unchained” premiere at the Grand Rex Cinema in Paris, France on January 7, 2013.

MY VERDICT: Kerry brought the glamour to the red carpet tonight at the French premiere of “Django Unchained” wearing a off-runway bustier gown by Rochas.  Originally seen in a red, black, black and navy dramatic combination, this dress was previously presented as two separate looks on the red carpet.  The strapless bustier served as the top of a tea-length ball gown, while the pleated gliding skirt was a separate in a midriff baring ensemble. | continue reading..

Diane Kruger was on-hand over the weekend to help switch on the  Christmas lights along the Champs Elysees in Paris, following her appearance at the opening of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Vendome boutique.
