MY VERDICT: Adrianne dazzled her way down the black carpet for the premiere of “G.I.Joe: Retaliation” wearing a gorgeous Reem Acra nude cap-sleeve gown with gold sequin detail. I’ve had my eye on this beautiful Spring 2013 design for awhile now, so it was nice to see someone take it out for a spin at a glamorous Hollywood event.  I want to say that I love this on her, but the obvious is so distracting.   Because of the plunging neckline, it’s clear that if you have a full bust-line you’re going to have some cleavage but there was too much going on with Adrianne.  Taking the makings of a wardrobe malfunction out of it, which is hard to do, I really would have liked this dress to be a stunning fit on her because she looks so pretty and the dress is gorgeous.

She accessorized well with simple gold jewelry, matching strappy sandals and a Daniel Swarovski‘s rectangular gold crystal “Lana” box clutch. Adrianne finished off her glimmering gold ensemble with partially gathered curly tresses and perfect makeup.

MY VERDICT: After including this gorgeous red Reem Acra on two of my award show wish lists recently, Selena finally brought my favorite gown from the Spring 2013 collection to the red–er pink carpet for the Hollywood premiere of “Spring Breakers”.  The beautiful 20-year-old stepped out in the sleeveless gathered flowing gown, which features stunning illusion beaded paneling at the neckline, back, and sides.  As far as the dress goes, Selena made a brilliant choice, but as for the rest of the look–there could have been some improvements.

The makeup was pretty, the long gold deco earrings were distracting, the black clutch is too stark in contrast, but most of all–I wasn’t a fan of the hairstyle.  I could tell she was going for a sexy ‘undone’ look, but there’s too much hair falling from the front that it just looks uneven.  Selena would have been better over leaving it all up in a loose chignon, a fun ponytail, or all out in glamorous waves–similar to what we saw at SXSW recently.

WHO: Kristen Stewart
WHERE & WHEN: 85th Academy Awards on February 24, 2013.
WEARING: Reem Acra dress, Jimmy Choo & Bloch shoes, and Fred Leighton jewelry.

MY VERDICT: Kristen was one of the last Oscar arrivals, and she did so by stepping out on crutches!  The “On The Road” star was nursing an unexplained injury, but toughened it up to go sans assistance as she posed for photos in her glittering Reem Acra Spring 2009 Bridal Couture dress; a pale blush strapless bustier gown with exquisite hand beaded embroidery throughout, pleated tulle inserts, and a low-dipping open back.  It was the most ethereal look I’ve seen on her; that being said, I’m either a stickler for wanting to see the actress in rich color—or I’m just a hard one to win over with pale dresses.

WHO: Ellie Kemper
WHERE & WHEN: 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on January 27, 2013.
WEARING: Reem Acra dress, Charlotte Olympia shoes

MY VERDICT: Ellie was very minty refreshing in her beautiful sea foam green chiffon gown by Reem Acra.  This fluid silhouette features a tulle overlay and ladylike floral and beaded embroidery all over, as well as a slightly dramatic sash that folds at the waist and drapes down one side.  Part of me wishes she had worn her hair down, but I like that Ellie kept her makeup very soft to not overpower the dress, and I love her accessories–check out that clutch!

MY VERDICT:  I was a bit nervous that this beautiful ombré sequined batwing gown was going to get overlooked on the red carpet after I fell in love with it on the Spring 2013 runway.  Most of the time my favorites never step off the catwalk, but I thankfully got to see the beautiful pink detail up-close thanks to Rosario. She stunned at the Inaugural Ball in this Reem Acra design.  I especially love that she kept her hair sleek but behind her shoulders to show off those pretty Graziela “Pink is the Word” statement earrings. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Isla Fisher looked so beautiful on the red carpet tonight in this dazzling Reem Acra dress.  I recently gushed about how much I loved the crystal and sequin embellishing of this beige cap sleeve tulle gown on one of my wish lists, so I’m thrilled that it was Isla’s selection for this special and high-profile occasion.  The fit was perfect, but it’s every inch of the detailing that truly leaves you captivated. Isla was a true Hollywood beauty; she completed her look with a dramatic raspberry pout, Van Cleef  & Arpels diamonds, and side parted Veronica Lake-inspired waves.

 

Miranda Lambert was all about showing off some leg last night when she attended the 2012 American Country Awards.  The 29-year-old Country singer wore a long sleeve black Reem Acra dress, from the Fall 2012 collection, which featured a mock neck and silver sparkling geometric pattern throughout.

I really liked the dress on the runway, but the too-snug fit and shorter hem on Miranda wasn’t as appealing.  I think if she wore a dress that just below her knee, it would flatter her much more.  I wish I could say the dress was the only problem with her look, but I’m not really sure what’s going on with her super intense “sock bun” and sharp loose pieces.  | continue reading..
