MY VERDICT: Rihanna looked red-hot in her custom Azzedine Alaïa gown!  Here I was expecting her to break out something really edgy that pushed the envelope, but I should know to never expect what she’s going to do—because she’ll do the opposite.  The “Stay” singer took a more glamorous approach to the Grammy red carpet in the gorgeous sheer paprika silk gown with paneling at the bodice.  I can tell that she made an attempt to stay within the dress code guidelines by covering up, but the fabric was still too thin at the bust and it left little to the imagination.  She coordinated her lipstick and nail polish with the color of her gown, before finishing the look with some beautiful cascading curls and kohl cat-eye liner to further intensify her bright eyes.

In my opinion, dress code violation or not, Riri was still one of the best dressed women of the night.

The 2013 Grammy Awards–aka, the BIGGEST night in music–will soon be underway, and with that major red carpet comes a wish list of what I’d like to see some of your favorite stars of song wearing.  This is the first time I’ve created a list for this particular award show, and I have to say, I was pretty excited for it.  With some music-centered ceremonies, there are a lot of super short party dresses, but I feel like Grammy night leaves more room for glamorous gowns.  Think of it as the Oscars for music.

Maybe some of the ladies will wear something similar or exact to what I envision, or maybe they won’t. I think it’s quite possible that Rihanna saved one of her best looks of 2012 for the end of the year when she appeared on the season three finale of “The Voice” last night to perform her single “Diamonds” wearing one fierce Lanvin jumpsuit.

The 24-year-old singer dazzled on the stage in the Spring/Summer 2013  all-over Swarovski embroidered tuxedo jumpsuit with the complimenting “Dedale” large crystal necklace, bracelet and belt. | continue reading..

Rihanna appeared on the German show “Wetten dass..?” over the weekend to perform her single “Diamonds” and shined in head-to-toe Balmain.  When I originally saw this white halterneck crop top and wide leg black leather trousers during the Spring 2013 presentation, I immediately envisioned the 24-year-old singer being the one to wear it first; be it for a music video, red carpet appearance or an editorial.  I guess a performance was the right time for her!

Although I wish she had worn the belt from the runway as well, I liked her vintage gold Chanel chain belt that matched her jewelry.  Rihanna finished with black skinny sunglasses and stud earrings.  | continue reading..

Rihanna launched her new fragrance “Nude” last night at Macy’s Westfield Century City  where she lived up to the name of her new scene by baring some skin in a delicate ivory bodysuit and tea-length lace sheer skirt by Nini Nguyen.

I liked the two piece ensemble on Rihanna, but why black pumps with such a soft color and lightweight style? She wore a bold gold Christian Lacroix choker, so this left a perfect opportunity for her to partner it with some strappy gold sandals. | continue reading..

Rihanna met with fans last night as she celebrated the release of her new album “Unapologetic” in New York City wearing head-to-toe black at a autograph signing held at Best Buy Theater.

The 24-year-old “Diamonds” singer arrived on the dark carpet wearing a leather Damir Doma short sleeve raglan tee and matching long shorts with a drawstring waist, both from the Fall 2012 collection. After closely paying attention to this photo of Rihanna, I’ve come to the conclusion that I like the look from the neck to the ankles—which, obviously, means I just like the top and shorts. There was something very funky with a 1980s flair about Rihanna’s outfit tonight when she switched on the Westfield Stratford City Christmas Lights at Westfield Stratford City in London.  The “Diamonds” singer is in town to promote her new album “Unapologetic” while on her 777 Tour!

Rihanna’s oversized ensemble wasn’t just menswear inspired—it was all from the men’s collection! She wore a white Raf Simons Fall 2012 collared shirt, a ACNE Spring 2013 grey and navy striped sleeveless tunic with matching trousers and layered it with a large blue blazer, also from the Raf Simons line.  | continue reading..

Rihanna brightened up televisions everywhere when she appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” yesterday wearing a very vivid and shocking pink asymmetric dress.  The 24-year-old “Diamonds” singer was on the show to talk about her latest album “Unapologetic”, which is set to be released this month.  During the interview, Rihanna and Ellen played a game of “Who Would You Rather,” where she had to choose between handsome celebrity men like Brad Pitt and Robert Pattinson!

Between performances at the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and Saturday Night Live this week, Rihanna was spotted hanging out at the special pre-release preview party for her new album “Unapologetic” on Friday night at her pal Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in New York City.

The 24-year-old “Diamonds” singer arrived wearing a skin-tight pair of dark blue James Jeans, classic Timberland lace-up work boots and a shiny black zip-up hoodie to keep warm in the dropping fall temperature left over from the nor’easter that hit the New York/New Jersey area on Wednesday night.
