Ashley Benson in Anthony Franco | “Spring Breakers” Rome Screening

Ashley Benson in Anthony Franco | 'Spring Breakers' Rome ScreeningPhotos: BensonFan; Sandi Martini
WHO: Ashley Benson
WHERE & WHEN: “Spring Breakers” screening in Rome, Italy on February 22, 2013.
WEARING: Anthony Franco

MY VERDICT: For the final screening on the international tour for “Spring Breakers” this week, Ashley hit the pink carpet at the Adriano Cinema in Rome wearing a silk ruffled layered gown by Anthony Franco.  The 23-year-old actress looked pretty in the floor-length dress from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection, which features a plum lace embroidered bodice with a keyhole opening that sits just above a high-waist wrapped waist before the three tier detail begins.

Ash wore her long golden blonde locks out in loose waves before completing the look with complimenting makeup and a pair of dark gold platform open toe pumps. After picking an array of — mostly blacksexy dresses and gowns for a much more mature look, it was nice to see her take it down a notch for something a little bit more soft and youthful.

WHO: Kerry Washington
WHERE/WHEN: “Django Unchained” premiere, held at the Cinema Adriano in Rome, Italy on January 4, 2013.
WEARING: A Prada dress and clutch.

MY VERDICT: Leave it up to Kerry to be one of the very few people who could pull off a short sleeve cutout tea-length dress with a giant ring cutout at the waist. | continue reading..

Kerry Washington in Peter Pilotto | “Django Unchained” Rome Photocall

WHO: Kerry Washington
WHERE/WHEN: “Django Unchained” photocall at the Hassler Hotel in Rome, Italy on January 4, 2013.
WEARING: Peter Pilotto dress and Nicholas Kirkwood shoes.

MY VERDICT: I’m completely drawn to the bright colors and abstract prints of Pilotto’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection; every detail is so carefully crafted and unique. With that said, I don’t see much of it being easy to wear by your everyday gal. | continue reading..

Penelope Cruz in Versace | “Venuto Al Mondo” Rome Premiere

Following her black leather trench coat for the morning photocall to promote “Venuto Al Mondo”, Penelope Cruz hit the red carpet on Monday evening at The Space Moderno in Rome, Italy for the premiere of her new Sergio Castellitto-directed movie; an Italian language film based on a novel by Margaret Mazzantini. The English title for the film is “Twice Born”.

Penelope wore her second Versace look of the day, and after such a darker choice earlier in the day, it was nice to see her brighten up in this turquoise single-shoulder gown with pleated details. While I love the color against her flawless caramel complexion—I’m still not feeling the dress on her. Maybe I have such high expectations after that pink number at TIFF earlier this fall, but I’m just failing to get into this. | continue reading..

Penelope Cruz rocked some rebellious black leather when she stepped out at the St. Regis Hotel in Rome, Italy on Monday morning for the photocall to support her film “Venuto Al Mondo” (English translation: “Twice Born”).

The 38-year-old actress wore a knee length double-breasted Versace leather trench coat with gold hardware for the buckles at the cuffs and her belted waist. I love-love-love this jacket; it would totally be something I would buy for myself, therefore I’m not surprised by Penelope’s choice to rock it at the first chance she got. Unfortunately, I don’t really think this was the time. | continue reading..

Naomie Harris in Dolce & Gabbana | “Skyfall” Rome Premiere

Naomie Harris in Dolce & Gabbana | 'Skyfall' Rome PremierePhotos: Zimbio; Dolce and Gabbana
After wearing a black blouse and trousers by Dolce & Gabbana for the photocall earlier in the day, Naomie Harris returned to the red carpet at Warner Cinema Moderno for the Italian premiere of “Skyfall” on Friday evening wearing another look from designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

The English actress wore a teal jewel-embroidered floral lace long-sleeve gown from the Fall/Winter 2012 Evening collection. Although this was originally presented nearly fully lined, Naomie wore a bodysuit to show off a bit more skin.

Laetitia Casta did the same with a black version of the dress during the Venice Film Festival in August.

While I’ve seen this dress in many variations lately, I still think Naomie looked fantastic. She finished off her look with old Hollywood waves in her hair, garnet red nails and black peep toe pumps.

LOVE IT or HATE IT?

After joining Bèrènice Marlohe and Javier Bardem in Paris to promote “Skyfall” just the day before, Daniel Craig met up with his other Bond girl, Naomie Harris, at the photocall for the 007 film at the St Regis Grand Hotel in Rome, Italy on Friday morning.

Naomie showed off her long gams for the last several press dates, but this time around, she opted for black trousers that were partnered with a black sheer blouse, both from Dolce & Gabbana. | continue reading..

Andrew Garfield in Ferragamo & Burberry | “The Amazing Spider-Man” Rome Photocall

Andrew Garfield joined Emma Stone this morning for a press conference and photocall in Rome, Italy as they promoted their new movie “The Amazing Spider-Man” at the St. Regis Hotel.

The 28-year-old English actor looked casually chic in a white button down shirt that he wore underneath a black and grey color-block knit cardigan, from the Pre-Fall 2012 menswear collection by Salvatore Ferragamo.

Because of the black contouring, Andrew paired the piece with black Burberry jeans and matching monochrome John Varvatos for Converse “JV Pro” sneakers.

This is another look in his long list of hits from this press tour. His stylist deserves major #golfclaps.

They really know what works for him — and it’s working for me too.

What did you think of Andrew’s monochrome ensemble?

Is it time for Emma Stone to come back to the states yet for the Los Angeles premiere of “The Amazing Spider-Man” yet? All of this jet-setting she’s been doing is making me tired, so she has to be exhausted by now.

Emma stepped out on the red carpet last night wearing a black sleeveless gown from the Fall 2012 collection by Bottega Veneta, which was embroidered with metallic glitter in silver, pale gold and emerald green, featured a small on-trend peplum and a rising hemline.

The higher rise in the front allowed for Emma to show off her pointed toe Christian Louboutin “Pigalle” pumps. | continue reading..

Emma Stone in Jason Wu | “The Amazing Spider-Man” Rome Photocall

Emma Stone is the latest celebrity wearing a dress from Jason Wu‘s recently debuted Resort 2013 collection, but you may not remember seeing this dress before!

The 23-year-old got this special optic white, nappa leather/silk radzimir flounce dress from the line — with a black belt at the waist and a playful draping effect at the left right hip — to wear at the photocall for “The Amazing Spider-Man” yesterday, which was held at the St. Regis Hotel in Rome, Italy.

Even though this look may seem somewhat simple and classic, I still feel like she had a whole lot more going on than she did the other day when she wore all white or head-to-toe black.

There is something vintage and classic about this dress on her. | continue reading..
