2012 SAG Awards: What’s Black and White and Red All Over

2012 Red Carpet: What's Black and White and Red All Over?L-R: Tina Fey; Heather Morris; Amber Riley; Glenn Close | Photos: Zimbio
The red carpet, I mean…

They say “you can’t go wrong with a little black dress”, but you can. You can also go really wrong with a long black dress. See who got it right and who got it wrong on the red carpet this past Sunday for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

I like to think that Tina Fey read my post about her for the Golden Globes two weeks ago because she ixnayed another fluffy gown in favor of sleek and sexy Versace! I love the smooth black gown she wore with the draping metallic ombré bodice. With black peep toe sandals and a chic bouffant hairstyle with diamond and onyx drop earrings — she looked amazing. The “30 Rock” star also carried a sparkling glitter silver clutch. | continue reading..

2012 SAG Awards: The Siren Red Society

2012 SAG Awards: The Siren Red SocietyL-R: Kyra Sedgwick; Jennifer Carpenter; Ahna O
Michelle Williams wasn’t the only woman rocking siren red this past Sunday night for the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Three only ladies got in on the scarlet action, so let’s take a look…

Kyra Sedgwick showed off her rocking body (and tattoos!) in a crisscross halterneck gown by Emilio Pucci with sexy cutouts at the waist. Perfectly fit and completely smooth = a total winner. You couldn’t see her shoes and when asked on the red carpet what they were, she didn’t know — but they were Casadei. Kyra wore triple platform pumps in a shimmery champagne. She finished off her look with parted waving layered tresses. | continue reading..

Kelly Osbourne was one of the first ladies on the red carpet this past Sunday for the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

She wore a pretty color to the Golden Globes two weeks ago, but for this ceremony she was lovely in a bright white dress that was much better suited for her slimmer figure. The other gown just didn’t show it off in the best way, but this did. | continue reading..

Mary Tyler Moore in Armani Privé | 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards

It was such a treat to see Mary Tyler Moore take the stage during the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday to accept her Lifetime Achievement Award.

I grew up watching Mary on TV with “The Dick Van Dyke Show”, “Mary Tyler Moore”, and a few of her movies. Granted I wasn’t born yet when the original episodes aired, I feel somewhat privileged to have been able to watch those shows.  | continue reading..

Julianna Margulies in Calvin Klein Collection | 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards

“The Good Wife” star, Julianna Margulies went for bold color when she attended the 2012 Golden Globe Awards this month and while I liked that dress on her, I loved her selection for last Sunday night’s 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards more.

Her custom dove grey embroidered strapless dress by Calvin Klein Collection was a fabulous fit; the kind of dress I’ve been hoping she’d wear for awhile. I’m not too excited about the actual embroidery though.  They kind of looked like cells from my biology books growing up.  Oh, come on. Don’t act like you don’t see it. | continue reading..

Emilia Clarke in Chanel | 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Emilia Clarke from the HBO medieval-fantasy television show “Game of Thrones” hit the red carpet on Sunday night for the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards wearing a dress that you may be quite familiar with seeing as how Zoe Kravitz wore this last year.

The 24-year-old actress donned a black and white gown from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection by Chanel with strong-shouldered short sleeves, an embroidered belt and a voluminous black skirt. | continue reading..

2012 SAG Awards: The ‘Modern’ Ladies Get Glam!

The ladies of ABC’s “Modern Family” took the red carpet by storm on Sunday night for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium in Hollywood.

Sofia Vergara was purr-fect in a fuchsia colored sleek form-fitting gown by Marchesa that featured asymmetric gathering at the bodice. She always knows how to work a gown; I love her silhouette and how she just struts it on the red carpet every single time. She finished off her look with a colorful python clutch and complimentary jewels from Lorraine Schwartz. She was, once again, wearing her hair in a ponytail — I’m a big fan of the elegance of it. | continue reading..

There was a Naeem Khan re-appearance on the red carpet at the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards this past Sunday!

After “Glee” star Naya Rivera wowed in a fully beaded gown from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection, we got the chance to observe another gorgeous design of his when Maya Rudolph arrived in a beautiful dress with a great gathered skirt from his Resort 2012 line. | continue reading..

2012 SAG Awards: ‘Artistic’ Differences

2012 SAG Awards: 'Artistic' DifferencesL-R: Berence Bejo; Penelope Ann Miller; Missi Pyle | Photo: Zimbio
Already taking award season by storm — and recently raking in a few Oscar nods — the ladies of “The Artist” brought a touch of femininity, glamour and fun to the red carpet on Sunday night for the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Berenice Bejo showed off her newly red mane in a low curly ponytail — with stray tendrils and swept bangs — as it gracefully fell over the shoulders of her beautiful gown. The 35-year-old actress wore a pretty bead-embellished v-neck custom column ivory gown by Ralph Lauren. This might quite possibly be my most favorite look for her. The dress was so flattering, her hair looked amazing, and most of all — that necklace! | continue reading..

Regina King in Alberta Ferretti | 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards

It’s always a good thing when you wear something that really pops against your skin tone, especially when it’s a regular occurrence to see ladies hitting the carpet in dresses that totally wash them out.

“Southland” star Regina King made a smart move when she attended the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards this past weekend and opted for a beautiful strapless lilac tulle gown with a sweetheart neckline by Alberta Ferretti.  This color really popped against her rich complexion. | continue reading..
