Some of Great Britain’s top models made an Olympic-sized entrance during the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games last night in London, England. Lead by the incomporable Kate Moss and Naomi CampbellLily Cole, Stella Tennant, Karen Elson, Lily Donaldson, Georgia May Jagger, Jourdan Dunn and David Gandy strut their way on the runway to the theme of David Bowie’s “Fashion” while clad head-to-toe in glittering gold.

Kate Moss looked incredible in her wide v-neck, short sleeve gown that was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The creation shimmered as she moved, but thanks to the official Twitter for the fashion house — we were able to get a detailed look at the gorgeous embellishing.

Naomi Campbell also wore a Alexander McQueen bespoke dress by Sarah Burton. She showed off her famous long legs in a sparkling 3D embellished mullet gown, which was inspired by the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, and featured cutouts at the shoulder of the high-neck frock. This look wouldn’t have been complete without her matching metallic McQueen platform sandals. | continue reading..

Many people, myself included, thought there was a strong possibility Jessica Chastain would walk the red carpet tonight for the 84th Annual Academy Awards in Armani, because she found out she was nominated while attended the presentation during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week last month.

At the same time, considering how much “The Help” actress seemed to be falling in love with Alexander McQueen dresses lately, I thought one of Sarah Burton’s designs would be a strong contender. | continue reading..

2011 Style Verdicts: Best Dressed Blushing Brides

2011 was a huge year of wedding bliss! Among the many stars and royals celebrating their nuptials were Reese Witherspoon, Kate Moss, Kim Kardashian, Lily Aldridge, Miranda Lambert, Lily Allen, Anja Rubik, Abbey Clancy, Sofia Coppolla, Molly Sims, Charlene Wittstock, Princess Sophie of Isenburg, and of course Kate Middleton.

It was tough to narrow it down, but I think we could all agree that Kate Middleton‘s custom designed Alexander McQueen gown by Sarah Burton was a clear winner. Millions stayed up at bizarre hours just to watch the royal nuptials between the now Duchess of Cambrige and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. | continue reading..

Florence Welch in Alexander McQueen | Harper’s Bazaar Women Of the Year Awards 2011

Florence + the Machine front-woman Florence Welch wore a gorgeous Sarah Burton design tonight for the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards at the Clarideges Hotel in London.

Florence wore one of my favorite looks from the Spring/Summer 2012 Alexander McQueen collection; a gold lace tiered gown with cut-out neckline that connected to a turtleneck wrap design. To make it a little bit more ‘modest’ and more her style, Flo’s dress featured attached sleeves.

I’m glad the dress didn’t wash her out, she looked beautiful.

Her make-up was dewy, and her hair was put up in a bun with a center part.

Florence accessorized only with a not-so-simple McQueen knuckle duster white clutch. I wish she had carried a metallic one as my eyes keep going directly to the clutch instead of staying on the dress.
