As expected, “Cosmopolis” actress Sarah Gadon graced the red carpet tonight at Palais des Festivals for the 2012 Cannes Film Festival premiere in a dress by Jason Wu.

I mentioned in my Cannes Wish List post that I had a hunch she would select a dress from the designer for the big night, but I’m especially glad she opted for a creation from Wu’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

Sarah’s dress seems to be custom made, or an off-runway piece, but the a-line strapless silhouette and striking black and midnight blue metallic print were used for separate dresses in the collection. I like the flecks of emerald green!

I love this rich color on Sarah; it’s brilliant in contrast to her milky complexion. Additionally, I was so happy to see her golden blonde tresses styled in such glamorous side-parted curls and her complimenting make-up, which included a rust-red glossy pout and smokey eyes done in a muted navy shade. | continue reading..

Sarah Gadon joined her “Cosmopolis” costars this morning for a press conference and photocall during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. The 25-year-old Canadian actress has actually been in Cannes, France since last week when she had promotion for her second film showing during the 65th annual festival.

Enjoying her time in Cannes while awaiting Friday night’s premiere of “Cosmopolis”, Sarah Gadon spent Monday evening at the IWC Filmmakers Dinner with director David Cronenberg (not pictured).

Sarah arrived at Hotel Du Cap wearing a black embroidered cocktail dress from the Spring 2012 collection by Fendi, with spread embellished straps and a swirling design on the bodice as well as the skirt.

This is the second dress from Fendi that Sarah has worn while in Cannes; she also attended the premiere of “Antiviral” in a long design from the Pre-Fall 2011 collection last week.

She looked lovely as usual, but I kind of wish she had worn a pair of Fendi pumps without a platform. Sarah selected the bow-enriched, black patent open toe platform pumps.

Sarah’s look was complete with an up ‘do and a glossy red pout.

Despite the gloomy day on the French Riviera, “Antiviral” actress Sarah Gardon looked bright and beautiful at the press conference and photocall this morning, held during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival.

The 25-year-old Canadian actress wore a striking cherry red lace sleeveless dress with black trim and a matching banded waist from the Fall 2012 Jason Wu collection.
