MY VERDICT: Lily was sporting something I definitely didn’t get enough of on the Academy Awards red carpet—bold color!   The “Mortal Instruments” star was one the colorful highlights of my Oscar night in her glittering violet beaded Zuhair Murad gown, from the Fall/Winter 2012 Couture collection.  The long sleeve, body-hugging design displayed a delicate illusion lace embroidered bodice with a fearless striped skirt that fit Lily’s slim figure flawlessly.

The 23-year-old petite actress appeared comfortable, yet casually elegant in this ALICE by Temperley black guipure lace “Kitty” jumpsuit with nude stretch satin lining. Leave it up to the “Wide Awake” singer to make my night by wearing an Elie Saab dress to the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, but Katy Perry took it two steps further by going back into Mr. Saab’s designer archives for her major red carpet moment tonight.

Katy arrived at the Staples Center for the VMAS showing off her summer tan and famous curves in a sexy Fall/Winter 2004 haute-couture black gown with a leather bow-tied bodice that was connected to a sheer overlay, which was fully enriched with teal and fuchsia sequin floral embroidery. I liked it on her, though I wasn’t totally into the bow.

We’re a long way off from Spring Break, but the ladies of the upcoming film “Spring Breakers” hit the 2012 Venice International Film Festival to promote it together — and looked pretty fabulous doing so.

Vanessa Hudgens was quite ladylike in her white strapless tea-length dress by Blumarine that was completely embroidered with a black leaf lace motif.
