MY VERDICT: Selena has me itching for some spring days!  Between the heavy amount of promotion for her new movie “Spring Breakers”—and now this adorable sunny dress, she has me yearning for the first day of consistent warm weather.   The 20-year-old beauty posed for a special photo session, during the Los Angeles press conference to support the film, wearing a pretty pale yellow sleeveless cocktail dress with a front panel of gold embroidery from OSMAN by Osman Yousefzada collection.

MY VERDICT: Vanessa brightened up the “Tonight Show” when she sat down for an interview with host Jay Leno while wearing a vibrant yellow beaded “Taryn” cap sleeve fitted dress by Alice + Olivia. Is it possible to be in love with a dress? Because, if it is–I am. I love the simplistic but all-around-flattering cut of this dress, but it’s the crunchy embellished detailing that’s as stunning as the color. This was certainly a wise choice for Vanessa; the color complimented her hair color and caramel complexion while also popping off the screen. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Rachel joined her “Spring Breakers” pals on the pink carpet for the Hollywood premiere wearing a printed silk dress from the Spring 2013 collection by Proenza Schouler. I was pretty blown away by this collection, which is made up of bright colors, vivid patterns, and cool fabrics of leather and smooth silk.  This particular black and white dress with lace insets was one of my favorites. I’m definitely disappointed that Rachel wore it the way she did. There wasn’t any need to unbutton the neckline, and the fact that she wore simple pumps really took away the ‘toughness’ from the style.

MY VERDICT: Ashley Benson stood out amongst her costars Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez as she was the only ‘spring breaker’ to rock a super short dress on the pink carpet. The 23-year-old wears a bikini practically the whole movie, so showing a little skin here was probably no biggie. Ashley stepped out in a pretty nude halter dress by Giorgio Armani that is entirely embroidered with sparkling white sequin and beaded floral appliqués.  The glittering details were a nice balance with her spiked heel silver stiletto “Zinc” pumps by Monika Chiang.  I’m seriously obsessed with her shoes.  #ShoeEnvy | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Vanessa couldn’t have shocked me more with her “Spring Breakers” premiere dress if she tried.  The 24-year-old stepped out on the hot pink carpet wearing a gown by Naeem Khan, from the designer’s Fall 2012 runway collection.  The dramatic full-length dress features a collection of gold, black and bone-colored beading and paillettes for the sleeveless shell bodice that connects to a feathered skirt with a high thigh slit.  The end result?  A fierce dress that powerfully overwhelmed the petite star.  | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: After including this gorgeous red Reem Acra on two of my award show wish lists recently, Selena finally brought my favorite gown from the Spring 2013 collection to the red–er pink carpet for the Hollywood premiere of “Spring Breakers”.  The beautiful 20-year-old stepped out in the sleeveless gathered flowing gown, which features stunning illusion beaded paneling at the neckline, back, and sides.  As far as the dress goes, Selena made a brilliant choice, but as for the rest of the look–there could have been some improvements.

The makeup was pretty, the long gold deco earrings were distracting, the black clutch is too stark in contrast, but most of all–I wasn’t a fan of the hairstyle.  I could tell she was going for a sexy ‘undone’ look, but there’s too much hair falling from the front that it just looks uneven.  Selena would have been better over leaving it all up in a loose chignon, a fun ponytail, or all out in glamorous waves–similar to what we saw at SXSW recently.

MY VERDICT: We’ve seen countless celebrities embrace and promote the midriff trend on the red carpet over the last year, but no one does it quite like Selena Gomez.  The 20-year-old actress attended the SXSW premiere of “Spring Breakers” and showed off her trim figure in a Dolce & Gabbana tropical floral bustier crop top with pale blue cup accents and a matching high-waist orange pencil skirt, both from the Spring 2013 collection.  Sel wore her long brunette locks pulled to the side in full cascading waves and brightened up her pout with a neon coral lip color.

MY VERDICT: For the final screening on the international tour for “Spring Breakers” this week, Ashley hit the pink carpet at the Adriano Cinema in Rome wearing a silk ruffled layered gown by Anthony Franco.  The 23-year-old actress looked pretty in the floor-length dress from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection, which features a plum lace embroidered bodice with a keyhole opening that sits just above a high-waist wrapped waist before the three tier detail begins.

Ash wore her long golden blonde locks out in loose waves before completing the look with complimenting makeup and a pair of dark gold platform open toe pumps. After picking an array of — mostly black — sexy dresses and gowns for a much more mature look, it was nice to see her take it down a notch for something a little bit more soft and youthful.

MY VERDICT: Before hitting the premiere in a lace Tadashi Shoji gown, Ashley joined her “Spring Breakers” costars Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, and Rachel Korine at the early photocall in Spain.  The 23-year-old rocked a sexy ensemble from IZMAYLOVA, which included a single short-sleeve cutout peplum top that she partnered with a knee-length paneled sheer skirt with orange beaded detail at the hip and hem.

It was an interesting choice, no doubt.  This top was originally presented with a velvet long skirt featuring a slit at the side.  If it had been shortened, I feel like it would have been a better choice for Ashley.  The sheerness is throwing me off a bit.  She wore her blonde hair in tumbling curls before finishing with soft makeup and classic black pumps.

MY VERDICT: I was hoping it would happen, and it did. Vanessa wore a really, really cute outfit to the Madrid photocall of her new movie “Spring Breakers”.  The 24-year-old actress didn’t try to over-do it with a voluminous fit or too much going on this time around when she stepped out in a lightweight white Chantilly lace long sleeve crop top and matching a-line skirt by Katharine Kidd, from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection.  It was trendy, young, flattering, and most of all–really cute.

Vanessa coordinated with the laid back feel of the look by styling her shoulder-length tresses in bouncy waves and finishing it all off with a pop of color.  | continue reading..
