MY VERDICT: Bradley celebrated his Oscar nomination by taking his mom Gloria as his date for the ceremony.  While the “Silver Linings Playbook” actor was simply dashing in a three piece tuxedo by Tom Ford–complete with a bow tie and shiny black lace up shoes, his mom kicked things up with a pink feathered shrug and metallic sneakers that she partnered with a black lace inset Tadashi Shoji gown.  I’m equal parts amused and confused.  She could do without the Muppet accessory, but I’m kind of digging her red carpet footwear style.  I’m sure Kristen Stewart would agree.

WHERE & WHEN: “Spring Breakers” premiere in Madrid, Spain on February 21, 2013.

MY VERDICT: For the Madrid stop on the “Spring Breakers” international press tour, Ashley arrived on the red carpet at the Capitol Cinema wearing a dramatic Spring 2013 silk-chiffon gown by Tadashi Shoji, which featured a center slit in the skirt and gathered draping details that revealed romantic floral lace insets at the v-neckline and both sides of the waist.  This was a pretty serious choice for Ashley that was much more grown up from the previous two gowns that she donned on the tour. | continue reading..

Busy Philipps proudly displayed her growing belly in a custom made Gabriela Cadena navy blue long sleeve silk dress.  The “Cougar Town” actress, who recently announced her second pregnancy added some boldness to her look with a colorful one-of-a-kind Irene Neuwirth statement necklace and a matching embellished clutch by Judith Leiber.  A scarlet red lip, gathered mane and Brian Atwood “Stearling” shoes were the finishing touches.

Alexis Bledel like Jessica Pare, the 31-year-old actress also opted to wear a brilliant shade of emerald green at the SAGs this year. I love the color and pleated detailing of her structured Rena Lange dress, and the way her beautiful vintage House of Lavende colorful crystal necklace sat amongst the deep v-neckline. WHERE & WHEN: 18th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on January 10, 2013.

MY VERDICT: Clea opted for a bright white gown at the CCMAs last night.  The “Argo” actress looked beautiful in her ivory chiffon gown by Tadashi Shoji.  This Spring 2013 daring design features a plunging neckline and cutout details along the front and side.  I really liked the style on the runway, but with the lining hidden much more, I believe that it transformed into something even more beautiful on the red carpet.  Clea up-do was appreciated and I liked her subtle smoky eyes and delicate diamond stud earrings by Norman Silverman.  Additionally, Clea wore a IritDesign diamond ring to match. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Octavia worked the red carpet last night when she arrived for the CCMAs in a beautiful navy tulle draped cap sleeve Tadashi Shoji dress.  This pailette lace appliqué embroidered design was originally presented as a floor-length dress, which you can currently pre-order in three different colors through the designer’s website.  I like the dress as a cocktail number, but I have to say that I prefer the original version and wish Octavia had opted for that.  I can understand wanting to show off those crystal encrusted navy satin pumps, but still.

With her shoulder length tresses styled in full, voluminous half-up/half-down curls, Octavia was able to spotlight her Irene Neuwirth diamond trimmed, bright blue stone statement earrings.

Anna Faris recently gave birth to her first baby, but you could hardly tell due to her slim figure in the delicate lace gown she wore last night at the “Zero Dark Thirty” Los Angeles premiere!

The 36-year-old actress was in attendance to support her husband Chris Pratt, who stars in the film alongside Jessica Chastain. Anna looked beautiful in a strapless Tadashi Shoji Spring/Summer 2013 nude lace gown with a scalloped neckline. | continue reading..

For the first night of December, Virginia Madsen embraced the holiday season by stepping out on the red carpet for the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ 4th Annual Governors Awards—wearing vivid green!

Virginia arrived at Hollywood and Highland wearing a glamorous Tadashi Shoji Fall 2012 emerald green washed satin pleated v-neck gown. The crossed over bodice hugged her curves before falling into a lovely wrapped skirt, which provided a fantastic view of her crystal-encrusted strappy sandals. I found her shoe choice to be much more flattering than what the model wore—when it’s usually the other way around with most stars.

She complimented the shoes with a matching clutch before completing her award show look with a dark red stained lip, diamond earrings, a scarlet red polished manicure and her long blonde curls loosely gathered into an up-do.

The Oscar winner looked beautiful last night at the ELLE Women in Hollywood gala wearing a green Chantilly lace cocktail dress with a cowl back and blouson top; a custom modified look of a gown featured in Shoji’s Fall/Winter 2012 Runway collection.
