There were many, many ladies on the black carpet on Tuesday night to honor the fellas of the 2012 GQ Men of the Year party, which there’s a full run-down of—but, let’s get to the main subject of the night—all those well-dressed men! Honestly, I’ve never seen so many dashing guys in all one place; it was really hard to narrow down my Top 10 favorites. Where there is a will, there’s a way… and when there’s colorful and printed suits in the way, I have that will.
So, let me break it down—and then I’ll leave it your hands to vote on this one.
James Van Der Beek: I could quite possibly run out of compliments for the blue Knot Standard for Confederacy suit the “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23″ star wore, but that won’t stop me from trying. I love the rich hue on James; it’s something I’m not use to seeing him wear, but props to his stylist because this was a real winner. It was a brilliant fit; it complimented his complexion and light hair while bringing out his eye color. The mixture of the black-and-white gingham shirt and striped tie just gave it that extra boost of character that I love so much.
Ben McKenzie: IT’S RED, YOU GUYS. He wore red. Somebody call Robert Pattinson and tell him Ben McKenzie stole his look. No, wait–don’t do that. The more the merrier. Although I think Ben should have left those buttons closed on his Ted Baker maroon suit, with black two-tone lapels, that won’t stop me from totally gushing over this.
