Vanessa Hudgens sparkled her way out onto the red carpet last night for the official premiere of “Spring Breakers”, held during the 69th Venice International Film Festival at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice, Italy.

The 23-year-old petite actress looked ten feet tall in her lovely nude silk-chiffon v-neck gown by Temperley London; an off-runway piece, which featured a sheer overlay, split fluttering short sleeves and golden sequin embroidery in a cosmic web pattern. | continue reading..

Katy Perry was oh-so-close to making a nearly flawless red carpet run when she hit up the 2012 ASCAP Pop Awards in Hollywood on Wednesday night.

The “Part of Me” singer looked so beautiful in her airy ivory embroidered tulle gown by Temperley London. This beautiful Spring 2012 design was adorned with faceted crystals, beads and delicate appliqués. Unfortunately, that darn strap of hers kept slipping! Not only did this throw off the look, but Katy nearly had a wardrobe malfunction altogether. | continue reading..

The ladies of ABC’s “Modern Family” took the red carpet by storm on Sunday night for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium in Hollywood.

Sofia Vergara was purr-fect in a fuchsia colored sleek form-fitting gown by Marchesa that featured asymmetric gathering at the bodice. She always knows how to work a gown; I love her silhouette and how she just struts it on the red carpet every single time. She finished off her look with a colorful python clutch and complimentary jewels from Lorraine Schwartz. She was, once again, wearing her hair in a ponytail — I’m a big fan of the elegance of it. | continue reading..

The stars came out to support the children’s rights foundation in a night of style on Thursday night at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel fror the annual 2011 UNICEF Ball that was presented by the luxury jeweler Baccarat.

Nicole Richie looked enchanting in a sleek black sleeveless gown by Osman Yousefzada with cutout side details on her leather bodice. This dress, from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection, was previously seen in hot pink and cobalt blue. I adore the black, especially on Nicole. She aced the rest of her look with a pinned up’do that left her full bangs and stray pieces on display. Her bold jewelry came from her own House of Harlow 1960 line. Werk it girl!

“Private Practice” actress Kate Walsh was radiant in a silk deep purple one shoulder gown by Temperley. I really like the sash belt gathering at the waist and the fluttery short sleeve. It was an effortlessly beautiful look for her. Red lips and perfectly curled tendrils finished off her look. | continue reading..

There was a little bit of everything going on with the red carpet arrivals for the 2011 American Music Awards on Sunday at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live.

Some animal print, a little peasant-ness, and a whole lot of strapless.

Mary J. Blige arrived in style wearing an asymmetric leopard print gown by Roberto Cavalli that she accentuated with a tight beehive hairstyle and massive diamond drop earrings. | continue reading..

The Pink Carpet Rolls Out for the 2011 Hollywood Style Awards

Last Sunday was the annual Hollywood Style Awards, which was held at Smashbox West Hollywood where the celebrity attendees walked a vibrant hot pink carpet as they arrived to celebrate a night of style.

Mandy Moore was one of the first to arrive. She wore a black knitted tank dress over a nude slip by Temperley that she paired with red platform Brian Atwood pumps. I can appreciate the burst of color on her feet, but I just don’t think this was an award show look. Despite how low-key the event actually was.

Jaime King posed on the carpet with pal Chloe Moretz. I really liked the lavender, peach, and ivory sheer graphic dress by Calvin Klein Collection that she wore, but oh-my-NO…those shoes. I seriously can’t understand why I keep seeing this style worn. Am I totally missing something? There’s nothing complimentary about the boat-ish front of this heavy shoe. It brings every look down for me.

It’s been awhile, but once again — I really like what Chloe wore! For the evening, the “Hick” actress wore a amber silk duchesse cap sleeve blouse with a pale gold collar and a black taffeta A-line skirt by Miu Miu. This was definitely fall-ready, and I adore that top. Chloe finished up with black with silver glitter trim heels — also Miu Miu.

Rose McGowan arrived in a sexy black lace cocktail dress by Dolce&Gabbana. I wish she had worn the perfect shoe with it, and while I adore those velvet ruby slingback platform Giuseppe Zanotti pumps — these were not the shoes for this dress. If her lips were going to be such a frosted pink, why wear dark red shoes?

Kristin Davis was one of the very few people who wore a gown — actually, I don’t think I saw anyone else on the carpet in a gown. Kristin stood out amongst all in a red silk vintage dress by Azzaro from Decades Inc.

I really love the neckline detail of this, but I keep feeling like something is missing when I see the exposed gathered at the waist. I’m torn on what belt she could have worn to cover; maybe a matching ribbon that tied in the back. It would compliment without being distracting. Kristin’s hair was styled in old-Hollywood pulled pin curls.
