MY VERDICT: Liam joined Jennifer Lawrence in her game of wardrobe switcharoo when he stepped out in a deep blue suit for the Cannes Film Festival party for “Catching Fire” shortly after attending a red carpet premiere. The 23-year-old Australian actor changed out of his black tuxedo and into a bold blue two button notch lapel suit and white shirt by Ermenegildo Zegna.

I just love when he wears Zegna. Don’t know why? Three words: People’s Choice Awards. That maroon suit was a dream, therefore if Liam keeps opting for striking colors when he wears a Zegna suit, I say: bring. them. on.

This blue might actually be Liam’s best shade as it lets his light blue eyes pop.

Liam passed on a tie this time around in order to achieve more of a relaxed appearance. He left a few buttons open on his shirt before finishing his look with a black watch and bracelet, and a brown leather belt to match his shiny burnished brown lace ups.

MY VERDICT: For only one day in Cannes, Jennifer Lawrence sure knows how to stylishly fill a few hours. The “Hunger Games” starlet hit the black carpet for a party to celebrate “Catching Fire”—the second installment of the movie series, where she rocked her third Christian Dior outfit! After going heavy with black for the previous two looks, Jen beautifully brightened up in a off white twill bustier cocktail dress from the Fall 2013 collection with a colorful Warhol “Femme Head 1958″ printed along the extended asymmetric panel of the skirt.

MY VERDICT: Liam Hemsworth suited up nicely in Dolce & Gabbana when he joined “Catching Fire” director Francis Lawrence and his costars Jennifer Lawrence and Sam Claflin on the red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of “Jimmy P. (Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian)”. Liam looks great in a suit–that should go without saying, but after continuously seeing him in long ties over the expected bow-tie for such formal events, I’d like to see him do a little different.

This time around he spruced the detail up a bit with a silver tie clip before completing the look with shiny lace up dress shoes. Thankfully we have a lot of red carpet events to expect from him this year as the next “Hunger Games” films hits theaters in November. Are you as excited as I am?

MY VERDICT: While his fiancée Miley Cyrus gets ready to rock the Billboard Music Awards this weekend with the debut of her new single, Liam Hemsworth met up with his “Catching Fire” costars Jennifer Lawrence and Sam Claflin for a press event and photocall to support the next installment of “The Hunger Games” series. The ultra-handsome Australian actor wore a Dolce & Gabbana white dress shirt tucked into black leather-belted charcoal flat front trousers.

A light dusting of scruff and neatly brushed hair helped complete his semi-casual look, which he finished with dapper shiny leather lace up shoes. I’m almost excited for Liam’s wardrobe for the press tour this fall as I am for Jennifer’s–especially after what I saw last year during the events for the first film.

MY VERDICT: After an early day of press, Jennifer glamorously hit the red carpet with her “Catching Fire” costars to attend the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Benicio Del Toro’s new movie “Jimmy P. (Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian)”. For her second Christian Dior look of the day, the Oscar winner wore a two-tone twill bustier evening gown, which featured a white bodice and black asymmetric skirt; this is a modified version of Look 1 that was presented during Dior’s Fall 2013 fashion show.

Although this was a pretty dress for Jen, I think she could have gotten away with the runway version; I prefer it with a few inches off the skirt, and the original certainly wasn’t too short for this particular event. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: We’re still about six months away from the theatrical release of “Catching Fire”, the second installment of “The Hunger Games” series, but we got our first taste of Jennifer Lawrence’s press tour style when she hit the Cannes Film Festival with her costars for an early press event and photocall. The 22-year-old face of the “Miss Dior” handbag line was dressed in one of the latest looks from Christian Dior, naturally.

Jen wore a fun black wool crochet bustier with exaggerated ruffles that was partnered with black wool pants, from the Fall 2013 collection, which she brightened up with a splash of color on her feet. I love the easiness of this outfit; she’s on the French Riviera doing daytime press and wants to be comfortable, but also elegant without losing her youthful attitude. MY VERDICT: I wasn’t surprised to see that “The Hunger Games” starlet Willow Shields stuck by MARC by Marc Jacobs for the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards this year, after all–this is her usual go-to red carpet label. In fact, she wore a MARC skirt last year at the event.  The 12-year-old actress arrived at the show wearing a pretty strapless geometric print dress from the Spring 2013 collection in various shades of red and blue.

The dress was bright and fun; two things that are important when choosing your outfit for the KCAs, but it just felt like such a grown up style to pair with her youthful silver open toe kitten heel slides. Those shoes were better suited for a cocktail party. I think Willow could have improved this by slipping on a chunky pair of dark blue wedge sandals. It would have balanced out better.

MY VERDICT: Liam may just be one of top best dressed stars of the night at the PCAs. As soon as that camera panned to him in the audience before “The Hunger Games” won best movie, I knew he would be.  Seriously.  Can we talk about the rich and delicious maroon shade of the Zegna suit he wore?  To top it all off, Liam sharply paired it with a black shirt and tie and a red polka dot printed black satin pocket square. Too good—I love it! This actually topped his printed jacket suit for me. When it comes down to it, this was simply really good styling that Liam pulled off effortlessly. When you know what works, run with it.

On-screen vampires weren’t the only stars crawling the black carpet on last week for the highly long-awaited Hollywood premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″! In addition to crowds of screaming ‘Twi-hands’, stars of every generation came out to show their own fan support and love of the crazy characters from Forks at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live—now, let’s take a look at what they wore!

Kiernan Shipka: The darling “Mad Men” starlet looked adorable as ever in head-to-toe Miu Miu, which included a flounce skirt little black dress with a sheer yoke and short sleeves. Kiernan added a little pop of color to her sweet look with fuchsia suede pumps with large bows accenting the open toe. She finished off her look with a loosely gathered ‘do and just a touch of make-up.

Jacqueline Emerson: The “Hunger Games” starlet wore head-to-toe Emporio Armani; a single shoulder silk-satin teal mini dress and nude accessories. The color of her dress was very pretty, but I can’t imagine she was worn in the brisk November air—despite the fact that she was in good ‘ol warm California. Jacqueline styled her strawberry red locks in a side gathered ‘do of curls before completing her look with Martin Katz jewelry.
