MY VERDICT: It wouldn’t be the Cannes Film Festival without lots of Versace red carpet moments, and Heidi Klum was the latest star to rock it when she attended the premiere of “Nebraska” this evening. The 39-year-old model flaunted her long, toned figure in a asymmetric white bustier Fall 2012 gown with all over silver stud detailing–including the single mesh sleeve that travels into an overlay down the skirt, which also includes an extreme thigh slit. This is much higher on Heidi than it was on the runway.

I can’t deny that I’ve grown tired of seeing so many variations of this dress, but the white looked great against Heidi’s sun-kissed skin and those side-gathered curls were darn near perfect. Silver sandals and long diamond tier earrings completed her look.

WHERE & WHEN: “Cleopatra” 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival Premiere on May 21, 2013.

MY VERDICT: Jessica was the epitome of refined elegance when she made her way down the red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of “Cleopatra” today to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film, which starred the late Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, wearing a long sleeve ivory silk Versace Collection gown with a floor-length cape. Although the front of the dress was modest–and slightly ill-fitting, the exquisite attachment sat below a stunning deep v-cutout at the upper back.

MY VERDICT: Christina joined Pitbull on the Billboard Music Awards stage to perform their hit single “Feel This Moment”, it was also the perfect opportunity for Xtina to debut her newly toned physique. The singer looked great in a black Hervé Léger by Max Azria “Sabine” a-line skirt that she partnered with a Versace long sleeve cardigan top.

The silhouette was flattering and showcased her curves in the best light—and I like how Christina’s Versace belt with micro-fringe added a little flavor to the otherwise simple outfit. | continue reading..

WHERE & WHEN: The CW Network’s New York 2013 Upfront Presentation on May 16, 2013.
WEARING: Versace dress, Rupert Sanderson shoes

MY VERDICT: How beautiful does Nina look in blue? The 24-year-old “Vampire Diaries” actress posed on the black carpet at the New York 2013 Upfront presentation for the CW Network wearing a slim-fitting sky blue Versace sheath dress with cool black-bordered grommet detailing separating the design; the two pieces stayed linked together by silver rings. It’s such a small element, but makes quite an impact on an otherwise classic silhouette.

This is the second Versace dress we’ve seen Nina wear this month, but it’s my favorite as it flattered her lean figure while the color highlighted sun-kissed skin. Nina was also clearly having a great hair day with layered locks were styled in full shiny waves. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: I was looking forward to seeing what “Catching Fire” star Elizabeth Banks was going to wear the MET ball this year. I had hoped for a dress by Versace, and that’s what Liz ended up going for–although it wasn’t from the Fall 2013 collection that I thought we’d see a lot of, but from the Spring 2013 Atelier line.

MY VERDICT: Nina was quite the golden girl on the black carpet for the New York premiere of “The Great Gatsby”. The 24-year-old actress stunned in a black Versace cocktail dress with all-over gold studded embellishing that created a beautiful mosaic pattern on both the front and back of the frock. The knee length slim fit flattered Nina’s long, lean figure while balancing out with a gold pair of “Elba” pumps from Rupert Sanderson. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: I’m guessing that carrying around all that extra heavy fabric can only be fun for so long until it becomes tedious. Shortly following the Academy Awards, Olivia slipped into something much more sleek when she attended the annual post-Oscar bash hosted by Vanity Fair.  The “Newsroom” actress stepped out wearing a slinky beaded pink floor-length dress from the Atelier Versace Fall 2013 collection with cutout detail on the sides, double straps and a sexy high slit to show off her platform Versace sandals.  I definitely prefer this one on Miss Munn more; she seemed much more comfortable and it fit her better than the previous creation.  Smoky eyes, smoky eyes and a swept back ‘do completed her look.

MY VERDICT: Jessie J rocked the BRIT Awards red carpet in a sexy long sleeve black silk-chiffon gown by Versace, which featured a plunging v-neck and a rising slit.  Who knew the singer that was famous for skintight embellished catsuits, spandex animal print dresses, and sheer panels with feathers would ever don something so fluid and simple-yet-sultry?  A gleaming gold belt sat at Jessie’s waist to break up the design; with such dramatic cuts going on, it was smart that she toned the rest down a bit with classic pointed toe “Anouk” pumps by Jimmy Choo and subtle golden tone makeup.  She completed her look with slinky straight tresses and gold jewelry from Susan Caplan.  Gorgeous! | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Miley brought some edge to the red carpet at the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party with a black sheer halter gown. The 20-year-old singer spiked up her famous platinum blonde pixie haircut to balance with the cool vibe of her Emilio Pucci dress.  The funky design comes from the Spring 2013 collection, and features a gold embroidered dragon pattern on a mini dress with a full-length see-through overlay that put her Versace leather boots on display.  I’m not a fan of thigh high boots on the red carpet;  furthermore, I don’t usually like them with a high heel.  That being said- I feel like they brought a rock ‘n’ roll flair, and considering Miley has been into that look lately, I understand the choice.

The upside is that it doesn’t show off as much leg, and I’ve been growing tired of that too-sheer trend lately. This wouldn’t work for many, but it did for Miley.  She completed her look with smoky eyes and stacked black diamond bangles.

WHO: The cast of “Glee”
WHERE & WHEN: 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on January 27, 2013.

KEVIN McHALE: I had to kick this whole thing off with Kevin because I just don’t think I could have contained my love for his hunter green jacket much longer!  The 24-year-old actor worked the heck out of that red carpet in his monochrome black shirt, tie and trousers while sporting a custom Oscar Olima dark green satin jacket over his shoulders with contrast details.  This was totally unique and eye catching—I loved it.  Kevin finished his look with shiny black dress shoes from Prada.

CORY MONTEITH: This is probably one of the best suit looks I’ve ever seen on Cory.  I loved his Calvin Klein Collection grey tuxedo with black contrast arched lapels and stripes down the sides of his pants.  It was well tailored and suited him very nicely.  Cory finished with black Christian Louboutin dress shoes, Ox and Bull Trading Co. cufflinks and tie bar, and a Versace watch. | continue reading..
