MY VERDICT: Miley rocked the green turf carpet last night when she celebrated her #1 spot at MAXIM’s Hot 100 party in Hollywood. The 20-year-old singer kept it cool–and “hot”, in a strapless black slouchy Valentino jumpsuit. This techno couture one piece, which features a white contrast panel at the top that connects into a statement bow appliqué is the back, has become very popular with celebrities–including fans Gwyneth Paltrow and Lena Dunham.

All of this jumpsuit love lately makes me so happy!

Because of the longer length, I don’t think Miley should have worn ankle strap shoes as it allows for the pant to bunch at the bottom. A fun studded pump would have streamlined this more without lacking edge. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Before “The Great Gatsby” premieres during the opening gala of the Cannes Film Festival tonight, Carey Mulligan and her cast-mates–including Leonardo DiCaprio and director Baz Luhrmann, attended the press conference late this morning. After rocking the MET Ball red carpet just last week in my favorite cocktail dress from the new Balenciaga by Alexander Wang line, Carey stepped out in yet another amazing look from the Fall 2013 collection.

MY VERDICT: Following her “Best Supporting Actress” win, Anne hit the Vanity Fair post-Oscar party where it appeared that she had parted with her new award long enough to change gowns.  This time around the “Les Misèrables” opted for a custom-made Saint Laurent Paris soft blue column silk-satin gown with a gold sequined halterneck.  Part of me prefers this dress to her earlier pink look; at the same time, after you get passed the neckline it all becomes pretty boring as well.

Anne left her hair, makeup, and jewelry as it was before finishing with custom vegan silver sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti.

WHERE & WHEN: 55th Annual Grammy Awards on February 10, 2013.
WEARING: Neil Barrett Fall 2013 Menswear & Boy London on Wiz; Saint Laurent Paris Menswear on Miguel

MY VERDICT: It was one hypnotizing performance when Wiz Khalifa and Miguel hit the Grammy stage to perform the “Adorn” remix while wearing coordinating black-and-white suits in vivid patterns.  The 25-year-old rapper changed out of his Tom Ford tuxedo from the red carpet and went shirtless in a zig-zag blazer with matching trousers from the Fall 2013 Menswear collection by Neil Barrett.  Wiz additionally slipped on a BOY LONDON classic black cap before adding a little gold with two necklaces, detailed sunglasses and a pair of embroidered black velvet loafers. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Ashley looked fabulous last night!  She put on her best party dress (courtesy of Monique Lhuillier), which was a classic short sleeve a-line silhouette with a playful splatter of silver against a beautiful teal base. Is it possible to love a dress so much more off the catwalk than you did when you saw it on the runway? The answer is yes, and this “Revenge” star is proof. She found the perfect black sandals to compliment the skinny belt before completing her look with slightly curled tresses, a hot pink lip, an embellished clutch and sparkling diamond stud earrings. MY VERDICT: I really liked the icy blue hue of this dress on the runway—and apparently  Thandie Newton does as well, but I can’t help but adore the bright tangerine on Julianne. I would probably normally feel that the nude sheer insets were too heavy and needed a faint citrus to compliment the rest, but I think she pulls this off.  It may also be one of the rare times I liked the pairing of the nude suede “Tribtoo” platform YSL pumps as well.  | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: All eyes probably weren’t supposed to be on the “Mad Max: Fury Road” star when she attended the Golden Globes last night, but when you step out and kill it in a dress like the one she wore, how could one not stop and take notice?  The 25-year-old model turned actress struck a pose in a high neck, open back black silk gown by Saint Laurent with a pussy bow at the neck, a wide leather belt, and a high slit to show off her YSL shoes.  Rosie stylishly accessorized with Norman Silverman and Dana Rebecca rings, which included the “Sophia Ryan” and the “Bridal Shared Prong Eternity Band” from the latter label. | continue reading..

LESLIE MANN rocked the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of “This Is 40″ in a cool color-block gown and a playful Cinderella-esque up ‘do.  Leslie worked with makeup artist Georgie Eisdell to ensure a beautiful and fresh palette, which would further compliment her look rather than overpower it.

Georgie shared her tips and the products she used on Leslie, and we’re totally obsessing over these lip colors!

“For the premiere of This is 40, I wanted Leslie’s look to have a radiance about it,  keeping with her personality.  I also wanted to encapsulate her natural beauty and give it an edge,” Georgie explained her beauty inspiration for Leslie!

Katy Perry looked beautiful in bright green when she helped celebrate Carole King and her music, to benefit Paul Newman’s The Painted Turtle Camp at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Tuesday night.

The 28-year-old singer walked the carpet in this satin kelly green strapless floor-length Yves Saint Laurent dress, which featured a thigh high slit at the side and rows of pretty crystal beaded embellishments at the bodice.  I loved the color against her warm complexion and dark, thick curls.  Her hair seems to be gravitating a bit more towards brown than the jet black we’ve been seeing a lot of lately.  But, maybe that’s just the lighting. | continue reading..
