After whipping out a stunner of a velvet suit last week for the world premiere of “Les Miserables” in London, Eddie Redmayne hit the red carpet at the Ziegfeld Theatre for the New York premiere last night in yet another winning look.

The 30-year-old English actor rocked an Alexander McQueen vivid blue suit that he livened up even further with a holiday-ready bordeaux pattern tie and a matching folded pocket square.  Eddie made my “Best Dressed Men of 2011″ list—and do you see why?  He certainly knows how to select and work a great suit in a vibrant color.  I’m excited to see where he takes us next!

Eddie, who was joined by his costar Samantha Barks, completed his premiere look with black suede dress shoes.

Was this blue suit able to top that rich velvet look?

Hugh Jackman in Louis Vuitton | “Les Misérables” New York Premiere

Hugh Jackman looked dashing last night in his Louis Vuitton suit when he joined his wife Deborra-Lee Furness for the New York City premiere of “Les Misérables”, the highly-anticipated feature film adapted from the beloved stage musical.

The Australian actor selected a black pinstripe suit with a single-button jacket and matching slim fit trousers. I liked the subtle, but brilliant satin trim along the lapels and trim of his jacket. Hugh brightened up the dark look with a white dress shirt and then finished with a long silk tie. Hugh is always quite handsome on the red carpet, but this was an exceptionally good look for him.

He completed the ensemble with classic black leather lace up dress shoes.

What did you think of Hugh’s pinstripe suit?

Samantha Barks shimmered her way down the red carpet at the Ziegfeld Theatre last night as she joined her “Les Misérables” costars for the New York premiere of their highly-anticipated musical feature film. The evening was especially exciting for Samantha, having scored the role of Éponine in the film after portraying the character for the West End stage production.

The 22-year-old actress, once again, turned to British designer Stella McCartney for her gorgeous custom slinky silver floor-length dress. She wore another McCartney dress to the world premiere in London last week.  The slim silhouette of this design featured a plunging v-neckline and a sexy open back adorned with high rise thin crisscrossing straps.

Samantha completed her look with diamond stud earrings, Jimmy Choo sandals, loose waves and smoky eyes.

What did you think of Sam’s sparkling silver down?

If you thought that bat-wing beaded couture gown that Anne Hathaway wore to the London premiere of “Les Misérables” was daring—you obviously weren’t prepared for what the actress wore when she stepped out on the red carpet last night for the New York premiere, held at the Ziegfeld Theatre.

Anne turned to Tom Ford‘s latest Spring/Summer 2013 collection for her head-to-toe ensemble; a black floor-length dress with a dramatic attached cape that tucked under in the back for a billowing drape.  A high slit cut into the right thigh to show off an insane pair of over the knee, muti-buckle black patent leather gladiator boots.  | continue reading..

Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen | “Les Misérables” New York Premiere

Wow, Amanda Seyfried nearly stole the show last night when she attended the New York premiere of “Les Misérables”!

The 27-year-old actress made a dramatic entrance on the red carpet at the Ziegfield Theatre as she arrived in her strapless Alexander McQueen gown.  This non-presented design comes from the Resort 2013 collection and features a gorgeous gold embellished bodice and a full black silk skirt that’s joined by a tortoise belt with a large studded gold buckle.

Although this would have been the perfect opportunity for some glamorous long curls, I really liked the way Amanda’s long blonde tresses were braided into a fairytale of a crown high at the middle of the head.  So dreamy!  Amanda took her dramatic look a step further with intense cat eyes. But, were they too intense?

She put the finishing touches on with Harry Winston jewelry and a black-and-gold McQueen punk skull oval clutch.

What did you think of Amanda’s second Les Miz premiere look?
Did you prefer this over her ruffled dress from the London premiere?

Amy Adams took a walk on the wild side last night when she stepped out on the red carpet for the New York premiere of “The Master” wearing a silk v-neck cocktail dress by Giambattista Valli.

The color-block dress, an non-presented piece from Resort 2013, featured an ivory top mixed with a sassy leopard print that fell into a sleek black pencil silhouette of a skirt. The black was once again worked into the look with a built in belt.

This allowed for her solid black pumps to actually work really well with her dress. | continue reading..

Looks like it was all about metallics on the red carpet last night for the New York premiere of “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted”! Not only did Jessica Chastain add gold elements to her look, but her costar Jada Pinkett Smith went above and beyond when it came to the stand-out shade.

Jada arrived at the Ziegfeld Theatre with her family, daughter Willow and her husband Will Smith, wearing a bronze metallic, chain halterneck bodysuit and wrap skirt from the Spring 2012 collection by Salvatore Ferragamo.

Charlize Theron was recently seen wearing this on the June 2012 cover of InStyle Magazine. | continue reading..

Jessica Chastain hit the red carpet last night for the New York premiere of her new animated movie, “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted” wearing head-to-toe Yves Saint Laurent.

The 35-year-old actress wore her long strawberry red hair up to show off the bare shoulder design of her strapless, textured, black sweetheart vintage YSL dress from Decades.

Jess accessorized with gold jewelry that matched her wide metallic belt vintage YSL belt.

She added a touch of gold to her makeup with shimmering eyes. | continue reading..

Alice Eve in Mulberry | “Men In Black 3″ NY Premiere

Alice Eve stepped out on the black and white carpet this passed Wednesday for the New York premiere of “Men In Black 3″.

The 30-year-old went a little wild in a metallic tiger printed bustier dress with a black lace yoke and three-quarter sleeves from the Fall 2012 collection by Mulberry. There’s also a little bit of the black lace at an inset beneath her bust.

A similar watercolor printed version was seen on the runway.

I love the print and the way Alice’s hair was styled in a voluminous retro ‘do.

She finished off her look with black satin “Favell” pumps by Rupert Sanderson.

What do you think of Alice’s animal print dress?

Will Smith in Gucci | “Men In Black 3″ NY Premiere

Will Smith was arguably the best dressed person at the New York premiere of “Men In Black 3″ last night!

The 43-year-old actor arrived at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City wearing one of my favorite looks from the Spring 2012 menswear collection by Gucci — the plaid jacket!

Yup, that’s right, Will took the monochrome theme of the movie to heart and rocked a black and white check plaid tuxedo jacket. Opting out of the bow-tie, he complimented the jacket with a white dress shirt, long black tie and a pair of black pants. | continue reading..
