Evan Rachel Wood in Yves Saint Laurent | 'The Ides of March' Premiere

Evan Rachel Wood is continuing on with her monochrome obsession, and I love it more now than I already did. The 24-year-old actress wore a silk off-white tuxedo from Yves Saint Laurent‘s fall/winter ready-to-wear collection last night at the premiere of “The Ides of March” held in Beverly Hills. As if it didn’t look amazing enough on her, she left the jacket open to show off a black bustier.

Evan is a prime example of ‘wearing fashion’, not ‘fashion wearing you’. She always looks so confident and comfortable that even if the outfit isn’t her best look, she makes it her best. She’ll sway your opinion because she’ll wear the heck out of it, and that’s how I feel about this on her. I’ve never been one for white tuxedos, but things change. What I really love about this particular piece are the silk-satin strips down the trouser legs with the button tabs a few inches from the leg opening. It’s all in the detail.

The black bustier breaking up the look was complimented by gorgeous strands of layered on silver necklaces containing pearls and black and white diamonds by Neil Lane. She also wore matching black diamond earrings.

When I first saw photos emerge, they were only from the waist up and I already liked the look at that point. Throw in a full length showing off her black Giuseppe Zanotti pumps with ivory cap-toe detail…I’m sold.

Stepping back a bit from what she’s wearing, I’m kind of obsessing over her hair and makeup. It’s taken me a while to get use to her short cropped ‘do because it was giving me Nick Carter — circa early Backstreet Boys days — flashbacks. Tonight her hairstylist really played with it and gave it this very cool swept over wave. I’ve included a close-up shot of her make-up below — her deep violet glittered eyes were so fierce that I’m thinking of trying it out myself.

Evan added a black lizard and silver metal double-facet clutch by Salvatore Ferragamo for that final perfect touch.
