Four very different looks, one designer.
Naomi Watts, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Jessica Seinfeld – all clad in Stella McCartney – were joined by the designer to support her father at the New York City Ballet’s premiere of “Ocean’s Kingdom” last night. The show features music by Paul McCartney, his first time composing the score for a ballet. Stella also designed the costumes for the production.
Stella wore a bow embellished dress and matching shoes from her resort 2012 collection while Naomi Watts selected an ivory tuxedo styled vest and trousers.
Jessica Seinfeld wore a black sheer dress adorned with metallic gold polka dots, but I think the real stand out piece was SJP’s spring 2012 asymmetric tiny lace cocktail number with a flower appliqué detail at the shoulder.
My favorite look of them all was Naomi. I’m a sucker for menswear and have been known to prefer trousers over a dress many times. Naomi’s look was so simple that it worked, she appeared so comfortable and nicely kempt. I really loved her clutch and matching bracelets, but I wish those pants weren’t dragging. Just a little raise to show off her shoes would have been perfection.
With my pick aside, I think everyone will be talking about that lacy mini for the rest of the week.
