Last night Anne Hathaway spent her evening with Charlene, Princess of Monaco when the two attended the Princess Grace Awards Gala as Montblanc launched the Princesse Grace de Monaco collection at Cipriani 42nd street in New York City.

While Princess Charlene was donned in a beautiful Christian Dior Fall/Winter 2011 lace gown, Anne selected a crystal embroidered long sleeve nude cocktail dress from the Fall 2011 haute couture collection by Valentino.

Anne wore her hair in a casual chignon with stray pieces falling and framing her face. Her make-up artist gave her a red lippe, but her rosy cheeks sparkled from the glare of the dazzling long diamond Montblanc earrings she was wearing!

A little bit more could have been done with her hair, but I think she looked good. I would like to see her wearing rich colors in the future. Red and navy blue have always looked amazing with her fair complexion.

Opting for a pair of champagne satin “Supervic” crystal-plated pumps by Christian Louboutin, she actually wore the perfect shoe for the look.

Anne was also joined by her co-star from “The Princess Diaries” films, Julie Andrews. She prestened Julie with the special tribute Prince Rainier III Award during the ceremony.

Anne and Valentino – and Anne IN Valentino – 2 fashion obsessions of mine.

Since I feel that Anne is like me and prefers her BFF’s vintage Valentino, I’m not surprised this dress is her favourite from this new Val collection.

She looks gorgeous and delicate. And not overly precious, like she’s going to go skate her short program after dinner. Despite that, it looks like this dress is more suited to a, erm, more modest bust. Other than that, love the shoes.
