To say that I was both shocked and excited to see that my gal was in a creation by one of my favorite designing teams would be an understatement.
Felicity took a red carpet risk and wore this striped look from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Proenza Schouler.
When I originally saw this on the runway, I doubted that – outside of editorial – any actress would wear both the knit top (featuring an embellished collar and leather batch pocket) with the orange and white striped black leather skirt.
I underestimated Felicity — she did it, and pulled it off with flying colors. Not only did she pull it off, but the fact that it covers her knees actually made me adore this more; it looks more like cocktail attire.
I love this so much more on her than I do on the model.
She additionally made it appropriate for the event with black pumps, just the right amount of make-up, and her signature lady-like up ‘do (with her wispy bangs on full display).
Felicity is so classic even while wearing something edgy. She doesn’t need jewelry or any major frills; she’s just cool without trying.
Sounds like the makings of a perfect Proenza girl to me.
