Cover Girl: Kristen Stewart for ELLE’s June Issue — She’s the Man!

KRISTEN STEWART rocks a dazzling Ralph Lauren Collection dress on ELLE Magazine ‘s June 2012 cover — the U.S. Edition — which was photographed by Tim Munro.

While her name is featured in bold red text on the front cover, you can’t miss the italic “Inside the Secret Life of” printed above it. This wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen a magazine offering a peek into the life “behind the camera” with the actress — but ELLE delivers.

Rest assured Holly Millea talked to the 22-year-old actress about her love of making movies — but you can best believe she also got into the nitty gritty of everything to how Kristen feels growing up in the public eye, her childhood memories, and yes, her boyfriend and “Twilight” costar Robert Pattinson.

As for the editorial spread — I was floored. Creative Director Joe Zee went above and beyond to create a beautiful, intense, and cool photo shoot by styling Kristen as both a man and a woman in a dim lit French hotel room.

I’ve always hoped that someone in fashion editorial would recognize that Kristen could effortlessly pull from her ‘tomboy’ and ‘feminine’ sides to rock both an androgynous and glamorous look — so much so, that I’ve had numerous conversations with friends about her doing a shoot similar to this very one.

Needless to say, I feel this was best. shoot. yet.

On regretting her sheltered upbringing: “You can learn so much from bad things. I feel boring. I feel like, Why is everything so easy for me? I can’t wait for something crazy to fucking happen to me. Just life. I want someone to f–k me over! Do you know what I mean?”

On the gold ring circling her index finger rumored to be from Robert Pattinson: “Everyone wants to know. Everyone knows already–it’s ridiculous.”

On her first memory of her mother Jules, a Hollywood script supervisor: “I would stay up and wait for her. I wasn’t even big enough to hug her yet. I would just run in and wrap myself around her leg. I loved going through her bag. There was such a particular smell. That’s a real sensory memory for me. I was always wondering, like, Where were you today? I know that’s why I’ve always been like, Wow! Movies!”

 

Sporting crimson red nails [see polish at the bottom of the post], full waves and smokey eyes, Kristen’s cover look includes a beaded tulle dress from Ralph Lauren Collection and a white gold bangle from Roberto Coin.

Kristen removes her Falke ‘Pure Matte 50 Stay Up’ black sheer tights tights while wearing a Lanvin silk organza dress, Vhernier pavé diamond earrings, a Roberto Coin diamond necklace and a Tiffany & Co. diamond bracelet.

Kristen gets ladylike in a Jason Wu cap-sleeve silk charmeuse blouse and velvet wrap skirt. She accessorizes with Falke tights, Vhernier diamond earrings, a Roberto Coin necklace and velvet trim “Lily” pumps with metallic lambkin, also from Jason Wu.

Oh my Tom Ford! Kristen dons a crocodile bra and belted leather pencil skirt from the Fall 2012 collection. She’s also wearing Christian Louboutin“Alta Dentelle” open toe fishnet boots, and a Roberto Coin necklace.

Kristen is a sparkling vixen in this crystal beaded tulle gown by Prabal Gurung.
