Eva Longoria was the epitome of glamour as she stepped out on the red carpet for the premiere of “Moonrise Kingdom” held during the opening ceremony of the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival tonight.
The former “Desperate Housewives” actress could have stopped traffic in her semi-illusion lilac and silver, embroidered tulle, mermaid gown from the Fall 2011 collection by Marchesa with a stunning long train.
Gowns tend to swallow petite actresses, but Eva knows what works for her and werks that gown like she’s six feet tall.
I’m glad some modifications were made to the bodice as I like that her dress had less of the voluminous detailing at the shoulders. That would have overwhelmed her, for sure.
Eva perfected her look with her brunette tresses gathered into a bouffant up ‘do, dramatic eyes, a nude glossy pout and a pretty embellished Marchesa clutch. Eva is also wearing Damiani earrings and Brian Atwood satin heels.
What did you think of Eva’s statement gown? Was it the perfect look for the opening ceremony?
