I speculated on Twitter earlier that Andrea Risenborough was wearing a Vionnet gown, possibly from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, last night at the 15th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala. As it turns out, I was correct! Andrea arrived wearing an ivory custom gown with black floral embroidery all throughout. She was one of my favorites from the night as I thought she looked remarkable in the gown. The styling was really impeccable.
Well, this just pains me. I was waiting for Emma Stone to arrive on the red carpet last night at the 15th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala to obviously see what beautiful gown she'd be wearing. I was not expecting this. I don't understand why she wore this cream pleated dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Jonathan Saunders. It was an award show gala, not a premiere or talk show appearance. From the neck up I loved her vintage pin-waved hair, glam make-up and green Irene Neuwirth earrings and ring. I adore her suede Christian Dior bow-embellished platform sandals, but certainly not with this dress. The shoes are way too heavy with this slinky dress.
"The Dark Night Rises" star Anne Hathaway skipped the red carpet at the 15th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala, but was still in attendance and presented at the show. Anne wore a gorgeous floral cocktail dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Erdem. I love the ice blue and white colorful blend of prints and the subtle cutout detail just below the bust. What I don't love is her hair. A retro 1940's styled up-'do or even brushed back with a little volume would have really added a little glam. I'm also not thrilled with the selection of the simple Christian Louboutin platform peep toe pumps, but I'll get over it. I'm sure there are another pair of Loubis that would have complimented the style of the dress.
Michelle Williams was barely down the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the 15th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala and I was already gushing on Twitter about her Nina Ricci gown. The "My Week with Marilyn" star was dazzling in a midnight blue silk chiffon gown with metal and sequin embroidered neckline from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection. She wore light make-up and styled her pixie-cut hair flat with the bangs swept to the side.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was in attendance tonight at the 15th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The 24-year-old model-turned-actress wore a black lace long-sleeve cocktail dress from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection by Emilio Pucci which features stunning blue and green sequin embroidery throughout the dress. I love the dress and I think Rosie has a great look and figure for it, but I'm bummed out that she pulled her hair up and so tight with it. I would have loved to have seen her hair down in glamorous waves.
