Review: OPI x Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection - Rollin' In Cashmere Trio

Review: OPI x Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection – Rollin’ In Cashmere Trio

Product Review

Welcome to the third and final installment of my review of the OPI x Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection. This time around I focused on the Rollin' In Cashmere trio pack, which includes a soft opulent gold, a fun iridescent hex glitter reminiscent of a snow globe, and a whimsical multi-glitter made up of darker tones. Rollin' In Cashmere is one of two trios features with the holiday collab. You can check out my review of the Unfrost My Heart Trio as well as my test-run of the 12 Cremes and Shimmers also featured in the collection.

Product Review

Welcome to Part II of my OPI x Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection review! I wanted to breakdown the review to highlight the special trio packaging of a few select shades from the collab, which includes the chromatic Unfrost My Heart collection. This frosty line features an electrifying silver and two glitters packed with flakes of black, silver and white. If you missed my review of the 12 Cremes and Shimmers from the collection, make sure you backtrack to check those out before heading over to Part III: Rollin' In Cashmere Trio.

Review: OPI x Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection – Cremes & Shimmers

Product Review

After completely falling in love with the collaboration between OPI and Gwen Stefani earlier this year, I was beyond excited to know that the team had a holiday collection in the works. It's no secret that anything Gwen touches turns to fabulous, so imagine the stylish possibilities when her touch is complete with an OPI lacquered manicure. "During the holiday season, women adopt a more glamorous beauty look," explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder & Brand Ambassador. With the launch of the bold and luxurious collection comes 18 limited edition nail lacquers inspired the edgy-yet-sophisticated style of the No Doubt singer/songwriter, L.A.M.B. designer and "The Voice" coach. Amongst the line you'll find a wide assortments of rich jewel-tone cremes and shimmers as well as glittery confections and chrome accents that were offered in cute holiday trio packs (which I separated into different posts highlight, check out the Unfrost My Heart Trio: Review and the Rollin' In Cashmere Trio: Review). At first glance, despite the hearts I had in my eyes, I didn't fail to notice that there was only one green in the collection and zero blue. I was a bit torn on how I felt about that, but it didn't diminish my excitement to test out of the collection, which I was able to do when OPI sent the shades my way. I hope you enjoy my review.

Product Review

Before I kick off my latest swatch review, I have to say that out of all of the new OPI collections recently released, the collaboration with Gwen Stefani is probably the one I've been looking forward to the most. I was big fan of No Doubt growing up, and have always had a love and appreciation for Gwen's music and eclectic style. She's just... so cool. The mission of this particular collab was to "create a collection as dramatic, diverse and glamorous as its namesake," according to Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder and Executive Vice President. "With crème and glitter hues, new satin matte texture, a mirrored chrome and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, Gwen Stefani by OPI presents the latest in pigments and finishes, while combining elements of haute couture and street fashion." OPI was kind enough to send the collection my way to share a look with all of you, and I couldn't be more excited to do so!

Gwen Stefani Gets Sucked Into a Kaleidoscope of Color for ELLE UK's October Issue!

Cover Girl: Gwen Stefani Gets Sucked Into a Kaleidoscope of Color for ELLE UK!

After commanding a coveted spot on a September fashion magazine cover in an array of feminine pink frocks, GWEN STEFANI returns to her exuberant style roots with a editorial in the October issue of ELLE UK that's bursting in colorful prints and textures. The No Doubt front-woman was photographed by Matt Irwin wearing a collection of lively looks by designers like Christopher Kane, Peter Pilotto and Mary Katrantzou -- straight from the Fall 2012 runway! Never one to wear a lot of make-up, except rocking a popping pout, Gwen's natural beauty shined behind chic lined eyes, pink lips and her platinum blonde tresses swept back from her face. For the cover of the issue, Gwen wears a Pilotto blue-and-black cutout peplum abstract top over a colorful floral appliqué black tulle ballerina skirt from the Alexander McQueen diffusion label McQ. This quirky pairing made for a cover look that was perfect for Gwen! Get a taste of Gwen's signature bold look by checking out the snapshots from inside!

Cover Girl: Gwen Stefani Thinks Pink for the September Issue of Harper's Bazaar!

Cover Girl: Gwen Stefani Thinks Pink for the September Issue of Harper’s Bazaar!

How can GWEN STEFANI possibly tell me to "Settle Down" when No Doubt has a new album coming out next month and she's looking all kinds of fierce in the September issue of Harper's Bazaar? That's a tall order I think -- and not one I can fulfill. Trust me, you'll agree. Terry Richardson photographed the never-aging musician for the editorial purely consisting of a white background and Gwen in all her fantastic fashionable glory. The 42-year-old singer-turned-designer and mother of two glams up in a lot of pink (one of which is McQueen, hello.) as well as a few dark and dramatic frocks that she models flawlessly. Of course she does.
