WHO: Chrishell Stause WHERE & WHEN: 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on June 22, 2014. WEARING: Sherri Hill top and skirt, a Saint Laurent clutch & kate spade new york jewelry. MY VERDICT: The "Days of Our Lives" actress opted for a totally bold summer ensemble with a vibrant pop of color when she arrived at the Beverly Hilton Hotel wearing a Sherri Hill black lace crop top partnered with a full white mermaid skirt covered in black polka dots, from the designer's Spring/Summer 2014 collection. I wish the skirt had taken on the angled train silhouette as seen on the model, although I still like the playfulness of the look; it was unexpected and refreshing in the mass of traditional sequined frocks and formal gowns at the gala.
WHO: Sophie Nélisse WHERE & WHEN: "The Book Thief" Berlin Premiere on January 23, 2014. WEARING: kate spade new york dress, Stuart Weitzman shoes MY VERDICT: After a beautiful fashion moment at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards last week, Sophie shimmered her way onto the red carpet at Zoo Palast for the German premiere of her movie "The Book Thief" wearing Kate Spade New York. The 13-year-old actress looked so pretty in the sleeveless a-line "Emma" dress, completely embroidered with twinkling greyscale and blush colored paillettes.
WHO: Bella Thorne WHERE & WHEN: 1st Annual Radio Disney Music Awards, held on April 27, 2013. WEARING: Keepsake top and skirt, Christian Dior shoes, Glint clutch, and jewelry from Elephant Heart & Kate Spade. MY VERDICT: Disney Channel princess Bella Thorne didn't hold back on the color when she took on the red carpet for the first annual Radio Disney Music Awards. The "Shake It Up" star donned a dark blue rosette embroidered strapless bustier crop top and matching mini skirt by Keepsake, which she brightened up with a plethora of rainbow colored accessories. The 15-year-old wore a Kate Spade "Cameo Jewels" statement bib necklace that matched her assortment of candy-coated Kate Spade lacquered signature "Spade" bangles and Elephant Heart bracelets.
Kerry Washington used her accessories to add a few pops of color to her dark dress this morning when she stepped out for the annual "Power 100: Women In Entertainment" breakfast held by The Hollywood Reporter. The "Scandal" actress walked the scarlet carpet at the Beverly Hills Hotel wearing a cap sleeve tea-length charcoal dress from Carven's Spring 2013 collection. The pumped up silhouette was complimented by a pretty intricate pattern at the bodice. This was a unique choice for Kerry, but I think she pulled it off.
Kerry Washington joined Kristen Stewart at the Variety Awards Studio yesterday afternoon in Los Angeles where she kept it sweet in a cute polka-dotted breezy dress. I love the carefree yet playful vibe of the long-sleeve silk georgette "Adelle" dress from Kate Spade that Kerry wore, which featured ruffles along the v-split neckline and knee-length hemline. Instead of opting for predictable black accessories, the "Scandal" actress brightened up the dark base of her dress with a silver metallic python Nancy Gonzalez clutch and
It appears that Sophia Bush wasn't the only lady loving herself some Stella McCartney today! "Hart of Dixie" star Jaime King hit the scarlet red carpet this evening for the CW, CBS and Showtime 2012 Summer TCA soirèe wearing a look from the designer's Fall/Winter 2012 collection. The 33-year-old actress rocked a black-and-blue brocade blouse with a gorgeous matching skirt that featured a ruffled hem. A similar design was seen on the catwalk during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, but Jaime's top is an off-runway piece.
Carly Rae Jepsen looked too cute on the dark pink carpet for the 2012 Teen Choice Awards in her printed short suit! The "Call Me Maybe" singer arrived at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Hollywood, California for the star-studded ceremony wearing a Lisa Ho ivory blazer and matching shorts with a fun palm tree print, from the designer's Spring/Summer 2012 collection. This outfit is so much fun that I have to believe it was Carly Rae's first choice.
Amandla Stenberg joined her co-stars from "The Hunger Games" last night on the orange carpet for the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2012 looking beautiful in a embellished LBD. The 13-year-old star -- who plays Rue in the box office smash -- is seriously one of the cutest ladies on the red carpet! I love her look every time she steps out for an event. This time around, Amandla selected a black sleeveless cocktail dress with gold embroidery from the Spring 2010 haute couture collection by Tony Ward Couture.
Earlier this month Sophia Bush joined her "One Tree Hill" co-stars for a final season cocktail reception thrown in their honor by the CW Network at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, California. The long-running drama is coming to a close in ten weeks so it was nice to see the cast back together again since wrapping the series back in November. I'm in love with Sophia's edgy black sleeveless mini dress, from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Mackage, with white brick prints and leather detailing. This is the second time Soph has worn a dress from this collection and both times were winners. I'd like to see her wear more Mackage in the future.
It was a big year for movies, especially two mega franchises -- "Harry Potter" and "Twilight". While the wizards concluded their story during the summer, it was the vampires who took over in the fall in the most stylish way. The cast of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" hit the promotional trail in late October heavily to promote the first installment of the finale to the blockbuster hit clad in designer looks by major fashion houses such as Gucci, Givenchy, J. Mendel, Donna Karan, Alexander McQueen and Dolce & Gabbana. While some stars stayed consistently stylish, some had a rocky road, and others really came into their own. Here are some of my favorite looks Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Taylor Lautner, and the rest of the vampy gang globally rocked. Ashley Greene in Donna Karan and Nikki Reed in Michael Kors These were my favorite looks from both Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed during the tour. The avant-garde black and white cutaway Donna Karan design that Ashley donned at the NYC premiere of the film was so interesting. Every angle showed off the dress in a different light -- and they were all good. Nikki echoed her choice of a vibrant cutout look with an acid green halter gown by Michael Kors that was trimmed in black and cutaway at both sides of her stomach. Both ladies accessorized brilliantly, but it was Nikki who had me boiling with a major case of 'shoe envy' over her caged platform Giuseppe Zanotti boots.
