The music video for “Shake It Out”, the latest single by Florence + the Machine, premiered this week and it showed lead singer Florence Welch in some dazzling couture gowns by Valentino and Elie Saab. The video is enchanting and beautifully brings these gowns to life.
In one of the first scenes we see Florence sitting on a bed with masked gentleman wearing a black velvet tuxedo gown from Valentino‘s Fall 2011 Haute Couture collection. She later dances with both men later in the video which shows off more beautiful angles of the creation.
We then see Florence descend from a grand staircase in yet another gown from the Valentino collection. The beaded zig-zag long-sleeve gown gives me 60’s Motown vibes, and considering what a vocal powerhouse Florence is – I’m glad she selected this gown for the video.
As Florence dances amongst the party guest, she looks radiant in a silk ruby red gown from Elie Saab‘s Fall/Winter 2006 collection. The gorgeous dress features beaded embellishments at the waist and a flowing silk sash that’s draped across her right shoulder.
Her final look in the video is an absolutely breathtaking ivory v-neck gown with a an attached cape is another design by Elie Saab, from his Fall/Winter 2011 Haute Couture Collection. Florence looks so angelic as she sways the cape around her as she walks across a thick tree branch.
