Cover Girl: Jennifer Lawrence for the April 2012 issue of GLAMOUR!

When it comes to being glamorous, JENNIFER LAWRENCEis twice and nice!

Not only does the 21-year-old star of the upcoming film “The Hunger Games” cover the British edition of Glamour Magazine’s April issue, she’s taken over the US issue as well.

Jennifer talked to the magazine about her decision to take on the role of the series heroine: “I gave myself three days. I knew from reading the books that I loved The Hunger Games. I just didn’t know if it was worth changing my life for. I’m at a peaceful place right now. The people who used to ignore me at parties, now they’re nice to me and kissing my ass. But nobody’s staked outside my house. I wanted to make sure that when I said yes, I wouldn’t regret it. And I don’t regret it. I would have said no because I was scared, and then I would have been that bitter actress telling my grandkids, ‘I’m the one that turned it down.'”

Alexei Hay photographed the brunette beauty during an outdoor shoot in Beverly Hills while wearing various Spring 2012 looks from today’s hottest designers.

For the cover shot, Jennifer was a golden girl in this chain-mail tank by Elie Tahari.

There’s also a dress version of this featured in Tahari’s collection, but I prefer the top as they paired it with a crisp pair of Lucky Brand white jeans — which really brightened the photo.

The look was finished off with gold bracelets from Jennifer Meyer and gathered Jenn’s hair to fall down her back.

Well, if this isn’t fitting for her role as Katniss Everdeen — aka “the girl on fire”, I don’t know what is. Jenn is positively smoking in this form-fitting black jumpsuit by Yves Saint Laurent. The voluminous waves, the subtle cleavage, and the sexy pose as she holds the bow from the movie make this the stand-out shot of the entire editorial.

I’m actually quite surprised this wasn’t used for the cover. Jenn has a great curvy and fit figure which she can credit to exercise — and of course genetics.

“I don’t diet. I do exercise! But I don’t diet. You can’t work when you’re hungry, you know?” She told the magazine.

She’s also wearing a Michael Kors ring.

Acting out a scene from “The Hunger Games” maybe?

Jennifer ran through the grass as her gorgeous tulle dove grey dress by Lanvin floated around her. Her long honey-colored wavy tresses blew off her shoulders which showed off the great cut-outs. Instead of donning the undergarments from the runway, Jennifer kept the look modest with matching briefs by Marc Jacobs.

She’s also wearing a thick gold cuff by Michael Kors.

Jennifer shimmered in this metallic gold dress by Roberto Cavalli.  As one of my favorite dresses from the collection, I only wish we had gotten a full length photo. That can sometimes be the downsides of editorials, amazing pieces don’t get the full view to shine. This dress deserved to truly sparkle across the whole page.

In this outtake, with wind-blown tresses, Jenn sits on a swing in a dazzling pleated skirt from Dolce & Gabbana. I liked how her semi-sheer ice blue t-shirt picked up some tones in the multicolored jewel-embellished mini.

The look was completed for her with a simple delicate necklace.
